    We paid Blake and Sons Moving & Storage just over $13,000.00 to move us from MD to MS that was completed on November 16,2022. We would not use or recommend this company because someone on the crew either stole or misplaced a 2x2 safe we had. That safe contained all of my military records, car titles, a small amount of cash, and another item of value. This didn't come as a total surprised as when the movers arrived a couple of them looked like they have or may have had struggles with substance abuse. Additionally they allowed my office desk to get scratched up really bad.
    After raising the issue with the company over a 3 week period they sent us a check for $250.00, but I'm still frustrated with what happened and ultimately how it was handled.

    We are sorry to hear that the missing safe did not turn up in our search. We are hopeful that it will turn up as you continue to unpack and settle into your new home.
    The Moving Order & Contract which you signed does exclude papers, documents and cash from coverage as is standard in the industry. It is recommended that items of sentimental value and irreplaceable documents such as the contents of your small safe be moved by oneself.
    The crew members that performed your service have been employees of our company for many years and we have no reason to believe that ANYONE on our staff would have stolen your property.
    You selected the minimum valuation coverage for your goods, which was provided at no charge. The coverage limits our liability to 60 cents per pound to a maximum of $50.00 per article, with a $100.00 deductible. As a good faith gesture, we provided you with an allowance of $250.00 to replace the missing safe.
    Additionally, we provided assistance to you in obtaining duplicate car titles as the originals were in the safe.
    We have no record of you reporting damage to a desk.
    Again, we are sorry for the trouble that this has caused your family and regret that we were unable to resolve this to your satisfaction.
