I hired AES after estimates with 2 other comparable companies who specialized in bathrooms . AES was responsive and had answers to my questions without hesitation , used in house workers for all phases . They were the middle price of the 3. The workers kept my home clean and neat despite tearing the old bathroom to the bare bones for our remod . The workmanship is beautiful even though it’s a small space compared to newer homes . I’d hire AES again without hesitation . The app they use is also convenient for questions during the process , the whole team sees them .

We engaged AES for the renovation of two bathrooms in our home. The biggest issues were unreliability and unscrupulous billing practices. AES gave us a 2-week timeline for the project. However, the actual duration of the work took more than double the time. e.g., there was a consecutive 5-6 day period when no work was done because their plumber was reportedly on vacation. On his return, we had to wait another 2-3 days for him because he had other projects to work on. It is hard for me to understand how a company could schedule a bathroom renovation for a time when their sole plumber is on vacation. There were several unexpected charges during the renovation process. In each instance, AES made excuses and we just paid it. AES then reached out to collect their final payment before the work was even completed and before the final inspection. During the electrical inspection, the county inspector mentioned that we needed to install smoke detectors in each bedroom, which AES had never mentioned to us. AES claimed that they were not aware of this requirement because it is "county dependent", and left us to cover the financial cost of their omission. AES sent an electrician to estimate installing the smoke detectors at our cost, but after a site visit, we never heard back from him. We had to go out to look for an electrician on our own to do this work. At the end of the project, AES sent us an invoice claiming that we had an unpaid balance without any explanation for this discrepancy. We called them out on it and told them that we had already paid the total amount that we agreed to and the cost of all of the unexpected issues that came up along the way. They gave us no explanation for the unexpected discrepant charges, so we told them that we would not pay any additional costs. We did not hear from them again until two months later when we received a letter from the owner of AES, in which he threatened to get a lawyer involved and charge us for the legal fees.

This an unfortunate situation.  The customer was very happy with our good work until it came time to pay the balance due.  The customer had allowances for their bathroom products, and they went over on the allowances, therefore they were only paying the difference of the cost and the allowance.  This allows the customer to get their products at a discounted cost from our vendors.  The customer was very clear on this from the beginning.  Our contract is very clear the homeowners are responsible for paying the electricians directly for any upgrades of smoke detectors, if the county requires it.  They also have the option of using their own electrician.  We don't add this cost into our contracts because every house does not need to upgrade the smoke detectors. Also, this allows the customer to pay cost only with no profit to AES. We sent the customer statements explaining the cost, but she refused, as she stated in her review to pay additional cost, therefore because I could not work it out with her, I had to get my legal counsel involved if necessary.

Please go on ****** or ******* **** and you will see our many 5 Star Reviews.  We take great pride in our work and customer service, as we desire to make our clients customers for life.  Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy response.

I called this company needing help with replacing siding. They call themselves Christians but they are not. I told them of my quandary and they wouldn't help or even negotiate with me. I told them of my situation and they stated a price and that was that. Christian is an overused word these days. I assumed since they were affiliated with **** that they were. NOT!! They wouldn't do anything to help Mr. This company is in Riceville Owings mills and that's all they know is money money money. The REAL Christians would have taken my situation and tried to work something out!! I would not under any. Circumstances recommend this company.

We did our best to try to serve this customer. She basically wanted us to do her work at cost with no profit for our company, just because she is a Christian. It's unfortunate she judged us of not being Christians or caring, because she did not get what she wanted from AES, free of charge. We have thousands of satisfied customers over the past 34 years of being in business.
