  I was forced to use this PaymentWorks system to get paid by a vendor.First, it rejected my registration over a minor difference in name punctuation when it checked with *** independently to be sure my business name matched my EIN number. None of my other clients did this. Then, when I went to fix it their edit function on their website did not work. When I emailed them for help, they took 3 days to respond, not the one day they promised. I asked for phone number to call them but they refused to provide one and instead asked me more questions including repeating what I had already told them by email.

  I had to register with Paymentworks for several stints working at universities. The system is buggy, cumbersome, opaque, and customer service is like talking to a robot. I spent literally several hours through 26 emails and a good dozen attempts at receiving MFA codes to get halfway through their registration process. Their customer service staff are condescending, do not read emails carefully and often do not understand what the customer is telling them, send you around in circles, and burden you with a barrage of redundant MFAs that create no actual security barrier because they all contain the same information. To make matters worse, they send a slew of no-response emails, most of which require a response if there is a problem. After more than a week of back-and-forth with customer service, I received rude and insulting emails where the *** called me out of my name and had obviously paid no attention to the details in emails sent to him. They will send you back 5 steps to ***eat what you already know and then not address the actual ********** the end, the last university I worked with had to find another way to pay presenters at their symposium because presenters were having such a hard time dealing with Paymentworks.Finally, Paymentworks appears to the best of my knowledge to have violated anti-discrimination laws of the State of ********** where they are based and in the ***************************** where they were doing business in regards to discrimination against LGBTQ persons.

  Horrid. Literally NO customer service line to reach anyone. There is no phone number on their website. I had to find the phone number here. The only live person you can speak to there is in their ***************** They are rude, inconsiderate and incapable of helping you because "THAT'S NOT THEIR DEPARTMENT." Don't walk, run away.
