  I agree with the most recent reviews, Punchbowl used to be a great site for free evites but something has changed and now the customer experience is **************************** claims you give a free trial but you cant send anything without providing a credit card. They make it look like youre signing up for a monthly membership of $3.99 - $7.99/ month but in fact, they trick you into a full year membership because instead of charging you monthly, they take the entire year fee out at once. There is NO DISCLOSURE that the annual fee will be charged. I emailed them about my dissatisfaction and basically got back a too bad response.Its a very deceitful business practice. Stay away from Punchbowl. There are plenty of other free evite sites that are clear on their pricing models.

  Hi ******, we're so sorry you didnt have a good experience. You saw this charge because you signed up for an annual membership. For annual memberships, the charge for the full year of membership is issued at the start of the billing period instead of being charged month-to-month which is outlined on our subscription plan outline. When you wrote into our Support Team, your only inquiry was asking for clarification on what planned you signed up for which our team promptly replied to and shared the details with you.  

  Additionally, you can also use Punchbowl completely for free through our mobile apps OR when you start a free trial (just cancel anytime during the free trial period and you will not be charged). Our Support Team will be reaching back out to you shortly - please be on the lookout for an email!

  Used to be a great free site. Now you need premium so your guests don't have to view ads on their invites and a bunch of other BS. Signed up for the 7 day free trial. Accidentally cancelled on day 8, but there's a 30 day money back guarantee. Was billed $38 for the complete annual total even though it's advertised as monthly. Sent in a customer service ticket and their response was "that's how the billing works". No response on my refund. I expect one immediately.

  this company has false advertising as they say they offer a free trial but you can not send anything without providing a credit card first. They advertise a monthly fee however this fee is calculated and billed annually. So you can not infact send any invites for free any longer on this site.

  The invitation choices are not exceptional or broad. The service says it is free for some cards. I created a free online invitation. It then became apparent that I have to sign on for a membership that I can cancel. I tried to cancel the $35 membership within the stated 7 days. Lo and behold, it now says I can cancel, but the invitation will not be available to me. So I will not see my RSVP responses, comments or questions from guests. That is deceptive! So then a screen pops up that says Im being offered a new $25 deal. What choice did I have? I will not trust this company again. Very deceptive practices. It would be better to offer the option of paying $10 upfront for 1 invitation or $30 for unlimited invitations for a year. I feel manipulated.

Canceling your free trial will not affect the events in your account and your guests will still be able to RSVP. However, you will no longer be able to access your event from the Punchbowl website and must do so through the Punchbowl app. To continue to track RSVPs and manage your event, download the free Punchbowl app for iOS or Android.   Very disappointed. I created the profile to do a 7 day free trial and created the invitation I wanted. When I attempted to cancel the free trial I emailed help desk and they emailed back. They assured me the free membership was cancelled and I would not be charged. Well, surprise surprise I was charged $49.95 and $1.98. I can no longer get in touch with anyone and I am at a loss for disputing this charge.

  I have copy and pasted the following review because I feel the same way! Total scam!!! After you do all the work you have to decide if youre willing to pay $50 to actually send them!Punchbowl will not let you send invitations without agreeing to a membership, with a 7 day free trial. I joined in order to send the invites with the intent to cancel, however you must maintain membership in order to manage your event, receive RSVPs, etc. SO SHADY.
