    I had a very bad experience with Elec. Experts (EE). My home's whole home alarm system has been going off periodically since we bought the home in April 2020. Not all the time, but randomly and often in the dead of the night. No smoke or fire. We finally looked at hiring an electrician to fix it, but in 2022 it was difficult to get someone to come out to our relatively rural home. EE sent an electrician out, they said our whole home's electrical system needed replacing and our circuit breaker box was corroded. They quoted a huge cost to fix that, >$15k. We couldn't afford. They installed a surge protector on the home that did nothing to stop alarms going off. A year or so later when alarms were still sounding, they swapped out all of our smoke alarms charging $2,700 for 9 alarms that it turns out only cost about $110 each, massive overcharge even with a savings plan we had bought through them. When those new alarms STILL went off periodically, they insisted only fix was replacing whole home electrical supply and quoted $27.7k for it. We got 2nd opinions from 3 different electricians, all of whom said no such work is needed and there was no corrosion on the circuit breaker system, indicating EE lied outright to try to push a huge charge on us that we didn't need. They denied this and said all 3 electricians were unqualified and didn't know what they were talking about, but humorously one is a former employee who specifically said he had experience from working for EE that they FREQUENTLY push charges and overquote pricing on unsuspecting customers. To EE's credit, they have refunded almost all of the money we spent, but our home STILL has a faulty alarm system and we are STILL losing sleep when it goes off randomly. We are working to address with an honest electrician. I would never use EE ever again. Their manager was very short with me. They do not itemize billing in way that makes it clear what they're charging you for and this seems intentional and malicious.

    We are not the cheapest but we do use the highest quality material, have the longest guarantees, latest technology and the most training of any electrician in the area. This specific scenario we installed the top of the line (at the time) Kiddie detectors which began to have issues after a while. After numerous trips out to replace the detectors for free we finally got an answer from Kiddie that the detectors are so sensitive that they are effected by voltage fluctuations. This is very common in older homes as well as when the power company switches over at night. To try and combat this we went out under warranty to install line filters on the detector circuit and a surge suppressor in the panel which helps to filter incoming power. This slowed the problem but did not fix it. We then used our circuit analyzer to test the home in question and found high voltage drop due to outdated devices, panel with rust and other indicators a redefine and service change was needed to get these detectors working and more importantly restore his system to a safe, reliable and energy efficient state. We are not surprised the detectors continue to go of as the route cause has not been repaired. As for the former employee, this is completely false, he worked on the commercial side and has no knowledge of what the service side does but it clearly bitter he was not able to make it with our great company. As stated even though we feel we did everything correctly we ended up refunding all of his money as part of our 100% satisfaction guarantee and even beyond that as some of the concerns fell out side of that guarantee but at Electrical Experts we will always do what's right for all involved.
