I am writing to formally report the extremely unprofessional conduct I experienced with a locally owned medical debt collections agency, specifically regarding an employee named *****. My interaction left me deeply unsettled, not only due to her hostile tone and threatening language, but also because of the agency’s lack of ethical communication and basic customer service. On a recent call, I asked ***** to verify whether a small balance she was collecting wasn’t a duplicate of one I had already paid the prior month. Rather than assist me, she became curt and disrespectful, immediately cutting me off and threatening to call the originating medical provider to demand I be denied future services due to “non-payment”—despite me never refusing to pay. I explained I was days from delivering my first child and asked if there was a due date or if I could set up a short payment plan. ***** ignored my request, repeated her threats louder, and hung up on me when I asked her not to speak to me in the way that she was. I resolved my small balance the same day upon calling back to speak with a different employee, which only emphasizes how simple the prior phone call should have and could have been. After posting an honest review of my experience, ***** escalated the situation further. She yelled at my husband when he called the agency to express concern, then called me personally threatening legal action in the form of a baseless “cease and desist,” as well as calling "law enforcement" if I didn’t remove the review. These intimidation tactics are not only unprofessional but entirely inappropriate and coercive. No customer should be treated this way—especially for simply asking questions and sharing a factual personal experience. I strongly urge the BBB to investigate this agency’s practices and hold them accountable for their unethical behavior. Bullying, intimidation, harassing, and threatening are all unfair acts for a collection agency.

Ms called our office as well as her husband multiple times as well as calling our staff derogatory names. She called one of my representatives retarted. I had to let ms know as well as her husband if they called again, we would be calling authorities for harassment charges. They were very bullying and threatening over being called about a bill saying by us calling to inform them is making them short on their rent. I let Ms. know we are not forcing her to pay but reaching out as a courtesy to inform her of the unpaid balance. Ms. had her husband call who was very friendly and respectful saying that ****** was 39 weeks pregnant and very hormonal. There was nothing we could say or do to calm her down and had no other choice but to stop them from contacting our office any further with the name calling by threatening to call law enforcement.
