- Additional Info:The McNeese State University Small Business Development Center (MSU-SBDC) is a member of the Louisiana Small Business Development Consortium. The SBDC schools, along with Louisiana Department of Economic Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), serve small business-persons throughout the state.
The objective of the SBDC program is to connect the resources of Louisiana University with those of local, state, and federal agencies, and the private sector to assist the development of small business opportunities.
The purpose of the Center is to provide information, counseling, and other support to individuals who presently operate a small business and to those making plans to start a new business.
The MSU-SBDC serves Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jeff Davis Parishes.
They offer workshops and seminars throughout the five-parish area for small business owners, managers and employees.
The MSU-SBDC also maintains a resource library of SBA publications, statistical information, census data, startup manuals and business plans.
The Small Business Development Center is a non-profit organization.
