    I am writing to file a complaint against Melange Event Renterie owner ****** regarding their failure to refund my money after the cancellation of their service .Despite numerous attempts to contact the owner of the venue, I have not received any response to my email or text.
    I booked March 6, 2024, with Melange Event Renterie for October 26, 2024 wedding Venue and paid a deposit of $2000 on March 6, 2024 unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel the service on March 19, 2024 and requested a refund.
    However, Melange Event Renterie rental center has failed to honor refund and has not returned my money. We did not have a signed contract. Due to no responses we taken ****** to small claims and judge informed refund approved to plaintiff on August 5th, 2024. ****** owner of Melange Event Renterie agreed to refund $2000 plus court cost within 30 days. As of September 22, 2024 no refund has been received.
    I have attempted to resolve this matter amicably by reaching out to the owner of the venue via phone,text email, but have not received any response.
    This is bad business and I don't recommended this business.

    In 2023 I reserved this venue. Unfortunately o had to change the date due to unforeseen circumstances. Which was fine. Later I was forced to relocate from La to Virginia. With that being said, I was forced to relocate the wedding. The venue stated they will only refund me if someone books that particular date. They showed no signs of advertising the date so that I can be refunded. As time passed, messages from me were ignored and she only returned 2 calls that were requested. I messaged the company stating that at this point (after 6 months of trying to get a refund) I asked her to give atleast half back. I have not heard from the company regarding anything. So from there you all may make your judgement.

    Signed a contract for venue rental for 12/23/23, which was paid in full months before. The night of rehearsal my now husband and I learned that the owner only gave the caterer a deposit for the menu we had discussed, had no utensils, we had no liquor, which was also to be provided in our package. We had to buy liquor and food the night before, which was cooked and served by family members. I only saw the coordinator when I exited the vehicle before walking down the aisle, which by the way, had no runner, which I provided to the owner previously. In the mist of planning, I informed the owner that I would provide my own dj. Unbeknownst to me, she had a dj there that we did not know nor approve of. A playlist was provided to the owner the night of rehearsal, the music that was played for the wedding party was not the correct music. A night that was supposed to be a joyous occasion was bittersweet. We wanted to be able to enjoy the evening that we had planned for with our family and friends. Not once did this lady apologize. However, I do recall her saying to me, “I almost cancelled your event.”
