    Bought HOWA HCR from them. Original HOWA HCR circa 2017 had metal mags and those are prized. That’s why I ordered mine from them as they explicitly advertised metal mag. Got the rifle. Polymer mag. Called them. Can’t get a hold of anyone. Used chat feature. Was told that since I picked up the gun (evening before, cannot call them out of business hours to inform them of issue), I should have refused it at FFL. Oh my how unreasonable of me to assume that a company won’t say “I’m sorry, we screwed up, let me do something to make it up”. Well…they did. Offered me a $10 coupon but the good news is it’s good for another year! Woohoo! Seriously!? It’s a $150 magazine plus shipping if you can find it. They had wrong ones listed and I bought the AICS mags from another source which are not compatible Polymer mags for this rifle are proprietary and are known to have some feeding issues. I was not unreasonable to them. I said…that’s ok. I understand mistakes happen. You guys clearly did have them listed incorrectly. I have incurred losses because I cannot send those back. You guys carry the polymer mags in stock that actually do fit this rifle. Just send me one extra mag $50 and we will call it good. I would appreciate it. Nope! $10 coupon. That’s only option. Or I can get a call back from supervisor. Supervisor called me. He was very polite. He very politely told me that it’s the manufacturers fault. They provide the description. Sorry it was wrong. We have fixed it. The $10 coupon is off the table too I guess. No mention of it. Can’t send me a mag but I can buy it from them. He very politely told me that i can basically go pound sand since I actually picked up the rifle from the FFL. It’s mine to eat. But he was polite. Also total BS for throwing the manufacturer/importer (legacy sports) under the bus. I called them. They informed me that ever since buds has had this item…it’s always had polymer mags. They misrepresented. I guess I’m done with Buds.

    We are very sorry to hear that the customer was not happy with the firearm they received. Unfortunately, this firearm listing was created when this firearm came with the metal magazines and when the manufacturer changed the model we were not aware of that change since we do not open or inspect packages to ensure the items are shipped out exactly as we receive them from the manufacturer. This lead to the listing being out of date for the new configuration of the rifle. Normally, we cannot take a return on a firearm once it has been transferred as it would be considered used at that point even if it had not been fired. We did create the coupon that was offered and it is available for use for the error as the customer explained they did want to keep the firearm. We unfortunately were unable to make an exception and bring the firearm back after transfer as the customer no longer had the packaging for the firearm, had modified the firearm, and had shot the firearm. We apologize again for any inconvenience.

    It is borderline hilarious. I specifically called it out during the phone call with Bud’s representative that the only reason why he is calling me is so he can say he did and post his response on BBB. Here is his response lol. And here is mine. He offered me something that isn’t even an option… He offered to “return” the item even though it has been “transferred “. I already told them that I don’t have the box and it’s been shot and an optic mounted. I knew and he knew that it wasn’t an option as I mentioned it in my initial call and was told clearly that the moment I accepted it from FFL, it was mine to own. But now he offered it to me just to say he did, and then say “oops…can’t…but I would have”. Honestly I want to keep the gun. I just want the proper magazine that it was supposed to come with that I paid for. Also, I’ve never had a company spend so much effort telling me that they don’t sell items based on “accessories” and it’s all based ”what they get is what they sell”. I was told that I didn’t pay for the metal magazine. I paid for the firearm. Uhhhh….wrong! I paid for the item that was described. That’s what I bought and that is what I should get. If it was up to then they would advertise a dog and sell a dog but actually ship a cat and then say the manufacturer must have changed it to a cat so sorry. But since you took it home it’s yours. And it came with the wrong collar but that’s an “accessory” and it’s not covered even though you specifically bought a dog with a specific collar as it was advertised. But they are so sorry and if I hadn’t taken it home and fed it, they would have taken it back but… I even offered to buy a magazine that actually fits directly from them, and they offered $10 coupon and said with that I would be getting the magazine cheaper than what they get it for. But then I gotta pay shipping on top so I’m worse off yet again lol. Seriously!? I paid a $1000+ for this item. It was clearly misrepresented. maybe unintentionally but nevertheless. They say “we’re not responsible for accessories “. It’s the worse excuse I’ve ever heard! Will probably never come back. What a joke. I knew I was gonna have to eat it but the phone call follow up just so they could say that they called me to tell me politely that I was gonna have ti eat it but now they can say that they reached out to me really pisses me off. I would have much rather not received that call. I expected this from some unknown fake company out of Asia but not from a business in USA.

    We completely understand the frustration and apologize again for the listing error. We did reach out to the customer after the initial review to extend the offer of returning the firearm as long as it had not been fired due to the issue as an exception. This was not initially offered because normally returns are not accepted after a transfer has been completed. This allowed the customer the same options that we would have given had the item not been transferred. We had not yet been informed that the firearm had been modified or shot when we contacted the customer. Unfortunately, after we did speak to the customer it was apparent that we could not continue with that option. As to our pricing all of our items are priced based only on our cost. This means that the price that was listed for the firearm and the price that was paid was the correct price for the item the customer received. This is why we are unable to provide any extra items or partial refunds in the event of an error of this nature. We do understand the frustration and we do want to assist, which is why we would offer a coupon for the error if the customer wishes to keep the firearm given the listing error, or a return for a full refund if the item if the item is not transferred. We have not said that we are not responsible for accessories as we understand there was a listing error and we do want to do what we can to fix the situation but we were unable to provide an additional magazine at the customer's request.

    This is now just hilarious. To quote buds representative… “ As to our pricing all of our items are priced based only on our cost. This means that the price that was listed for the firearm and the price that was paid was the correct price for the item the customer received.” But the price the customer paid for an item as advertised but DID NOT RECEIVE…I guess customer can go pound sand. For a $1000+ purchase with insurance and shipping and all that extra…. A partial refund of $25 towards a new magazine that is still different and inferior to what was advertised but would actually fit and work on the firearm, where I pay the remaining $25 yet still out of my own pocket was too much to ask…: At this point I feel that I have treated buds with more courtesy than what they reciprocated. As a person who also runs a business and is always in communication with customers and suppliers and negotiates on a daily basis and handles complaints, I tried to approach this in the best possible way…in a way that I would want to be treated by a customer who has a valid complaint should my company make a mistake. All I’ve gotten back is BS excuses that make no sense…like “the price I paid was correct for the item I received.” I guess I might contact my credit card company.
