I used to love Bud's Gun Shop until last purchase. I purchased ammo using my phone and was not able to check off shipping insurance. I tried to call customer service but answering machine told me to go to live chat on Bud's site which was not available. I open the ticket but my ammo was partially shipped and was not able to cancel shipping insurance. I requested phone call with supervisor and was told that he can't do nothing about it since some of the ammo was already shipped. Not happy about customer service even I been loyal customer since 2015. Next purchase I would be looking on different site.

We are very sorry to hear the customer was not happy with their order. We do offer the option to have items shipped with or without insurance during the checkout process. In the case of this order there would not have been a free shipping option due to it being for ammunition. The shipping insurance is only a portion of the shipping rate for this order, due to the weight of the shipment. We base the cost of shipping insurance off of the total of the order as we have to pay more to insure a package for a higher value. In the case of this order the shipping insurance would have been roughly $2.50 the rest of the cost was the standard shipping rate for the order based on the weight of the shipment. We did receive an email advising they were unable to checkout without selecting it and our representative did offer to remove the insurance to refund that off if the customer wished, however, we did not get a response until the next day which was after the order had shipped and we had already paid for the insurance on our end.
