I did everything possible to avoid dealing with sky property. They happened to buy the apartment we were renting. When asked about renewal of my lease, we went to a monthly lease agreement. The property manager was informed of our plans to renew. She told me to get the renters insurance and I could renew. I purchased the rental insurance and the property manager dodged me until I reached out to someone else in the office. A few days later she reached out and informed me that we could not renew and that I needed to be moved out the next day. Had she not misled me into believing I could renew after the insurance was purchased, we would have planned to leave. This was deceitful and intentional after months of trying to work with them. Sky purposely misled us into believing we could renew and all of a sudden we were threatened with eviction and charges to our credit. I have records of the interactions and also the false pictures they sent and are reporting to the credit agency. They bought the property as is almost 5 years ago while we remained in it. The carpet needs cleaning but replacing it was another scheme from them to extort money from the community. I just found eviction notices from them on my credit report from 2018 when I had previously rented but never received anything from sky. These false claims have been made against numerous people and the courts system allows the predatory behavior to continue instead of correcting it.SKY Property Management

SKY sends renewal notifications 90 days in advance of residents lease expirations. We send these weekly as a courtesy reminder to the residents so they provide intentions as soon as possible to renew or vacate. Mr. B********* lease agreement expired 08/31/2024 and it took until 09/10/2024 to receive a response from either financially responsible party with their intentions. On 09/10/2024, the notice received was to vacate the unit, along with confirmation that they would be vacating this unit on 11/08/2024 so our team proceeded with this written notice business as usual by putting them on notice, etc. On 11/06, Mr. B******* reached out saying he'd like to renew the lease, however, the unit had already been pre-leased based on them providing notice to vacate on 09/10 so this notice could not be retracted. All notices and conversations are documented in writing showing time and date stamps of when these things occurred. We have provided proper notice for all claims Mr. B******* has made against SKY and it appears to be a failure on his end to check such correspondence in a timely manner.Review fromRyan R

1 star is too generous! I usually don’t write reviews, but my experience with Sky Property Management has been so awful that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, dealing with this company has been a nightmare. First off, their communication is abysmal. I’ve had to follow up multiple times just to get a response about basic maintenance requests, and even then, the responses are slow and unhelpful. I’ve reported urgent issues only to be met with excuses and delayed service. Additionally, their customer service is rude and dismissive. Whenever I managed to get someone to even email back(They won't call), they were unprofessional and seemed disinterested in resolving any issues. It feels like they’re just going through the motions and couldn’t care less about their tenants or the property. The condition of the property itself is another major issue. The place was not properly cleaned before I moved in. Repairs were needed the first day (took 2-3 weeks). There are visible signs of shoddy workmanship everywhere, from old water stains on the ceiling to paint splatter on every surface. Work orders will take 2-3 weeks and show up when they please. Even for an active water leak. I moved out over a month ago and they don't even know where balance is or how I can pay it. This team of unqualified employees cannot be improved or fixed . They either need to close the business or start completely over and fire everyone.Review fromTiffany J

If you want to help this business expand, become a tenant. If you want to sit in a hot sauna, lease a townhouse because the cheap central hvac systems air don’t rise to the 2nd floor until late evening. If you want to live on edge, rent from this company. They find any reason not to refund your deposit. I guess they’re above the legal system and have gotten away with being shady for so long, it has become the norm. Sky property continues to build, likely owning half the properties in BGKY which is why I don’t understand why they continue to rip hardworking people off, pure GREED. The 5 star must be a SP staff member or a member of their family. Who logs on to the BBB site to leave a 5 star review? When this site is mostly used to file complaints!!!!SKY Property Management

Reviewing all work orders submitted by the resident, everything was completed within a timely manner, including any issues reported regarding the HVAC system. Tiffany's move out has not been fully processed in our system yet, however, she will be receiving a partial refund of the security deposit so statements of not refunding the deposit are false.Review fromBen C

We have lived here for 5 years through early construction up to the current time. There have been constant issues. Trash, flies, flooding, knee high grass, and mold throughout the property. Long story short, we were asked to leave after we made complaints regarding traffic, speeding residents, lack of cross walks (ADA non compliance) and spraying glyphosate pesticides by unlicensed staff with no notification . These poisons are linked with non Hodgkin lymphoma and Sprayed on all portions of children’s play areas. They intentionally sprayed inside the pots of my neighbors outside plants. We went tp a monthly lease with the intent to leave. Two months into our month to month agreement, they issued a 30 notice of non renewal for non compliance and lack of being courteous. Family of 5 with a 3yr, 2 yr and 4 month old. This is directly after requesting them to not spray around my back patio where my children play. A Most recently, they’ve stopped providing basic service that I pay for, which I’m sure is illegal. Clearly this is retaliation. My best advice, Run from this place. All the neighbors feel the same way about these crooks. I could go on about the low quality of the services and staff Including interior painting, landscaping, cleaning and preparing an apartment for living. Hello Ben, We apologize that you are not satisfied with your experience with SKY. Our team is always working to improve the customer experience, from top to bottom. We strive to keep the visual integrity of the community up to a high standard and our team works diligently, especially during summer months, to up-keep the grounds. This includes licensed technicians spraying herbicides as necessary. The property plans, including the designed flow of traffic and sidewalks, were approved by Planning and Zoning through the city before construction commenced. The property also has to pass inspection before opening which helps avoid any code issues such as ADA compliance. Reviewing your account, it appears that over the course of your residency, the interactions from your unit were continuously hostile in nature, even scaring our female staff members on repeated occasions. Per section 4.4 CONDUCT of your lease agreement, the resident agrees to handle communication with manager in a reasonable and courteous manner which has been violated repeatedly. This company bought out the apartments I currently live in. I’ve lived here for 4 years. They doubled the rent prices, destroyed my personal property and tried to evict me when they didn’t give me any information on how to pay my rent. My vehicle has been damaged from their construction workers. My vehicle has been blocked in by their company vehicles and they refused to move so I could go to work. They charge outrageous prices just for moving out, and I’m sure I won’t see any of my security deposit back as every review I’ve read says they keep it regardless of the apartment’s condition. They don’t respond to voicemails or emails. There is trash overflowing and glass all over the parking lot, they refuse to do anything to improve the apartments yet now charge double what I was paying previously. Avoid renting from this company, all they care about is money. They don’t care about their tenants at all.SKY Property Management

The worst property management possible. If you love being watched with your every move day by day then great. They will fine you on move out for every thing. Taking pictures inch by inch of your place for "proof" for charges. They will not take your safety into consideration. The buildings are poorly built and you can hear your neighbors cough and even worse having s-e-x. If you have friends over or even simply play music while cleaning your neighbors will call the cops for noise complaint. To which sky will not respond nor do anything about. The staff only care about themselves and will fight you if you bring to attention a problem so they make it not their fault. very poorly managed and horrible to rent from.SKY Property Management

I am writing a review based on my personal experience. Sky property management has not been a good company to rent from. To make a long story short, my daughter needed a co-signer and I agreed. Recently, in October of ‘22 I purchased a multi-million dollar company and as a small business owner have not completed my taxes for 2022. After sharing this they asked for me to share the previous year taxes and I obliged. Several days later, they stated that wasn’t enough and they needed letter head document stating my role at this company. So I decided to go a step above and forwarded them my purchase agreement and my license verification through the state of Kentucky. Again, several days later, they responded that wasn’t enough and again stated they needed either letter head stating my role, or w2 from 2022. Again because of purchasing a business I was unable to share because they aren’t yet complete. Despite me sharing, emailing, and calling to resolve this issue they ignored me. I called several times in attempts to speak with a person that could help me resolve this issues, but was forwarded to voicemail. I just wanted to help my daughter find a safe efficient apartment. And on top of all this, I had to pay $50 to have them complete a background check, of which after reading the fine print, may not even completed, and not knowing whether she was approved. My daughter had to pay $100 to apply for the apartment and now that she has learned that she may not even be approved for the apartment due not accepting my information as a valid source. I am very displeased with Sky Managements lack of leadership, poor customer service and reasonability to help me solve my daughter’s dilemma. I would be careful if you are attempting to rent from this company. It seems this company is just trying to scam people out of money by charging for application and background check fees and then denying the application.Review fromReghan B

I’ve had a wonderful experience living in Bowling Green under Sky Property Management. The apartments are beautiful and well-maintained. Their staff also seems to be very knowledgeable and attentive to all of my questions and needs. I cannot recommend SKY enough!Review fromGabby M

These apartments are completely filled with black mold. When I brought this up, their “solution” was to paint over the mold. Which came back within the month. The closets are so filled with it, that it molds my shoes and clothes. I have throw out at least 10 pair since moving in. The neighbors upstairs walk so loud that it shakes the photos on my wall and wakes my baby up in the middle of the night. When i brought this up to management, I was told to figure it out between the two of us, or we’d both get charged for it. I have a unit that i on the 1st floor next to the stairs. This is where they decided to keep the trash can that we get charged $30 extra dollars a month for for “valet trash”. This trash can attracts so many ants it looks like carpeting. When i brought this up, stating they where getting into my apartment as well as the stench, their “solution” was to pressure wash the area. The ants are still there. Lastly the PARKING. I live in a 16 until building and their is only 14 spots infront on the building. Two of which are handicap. Leaving on 12. The rest of parking is about a football fields length away infront of the leasing office. That gets taken by other occupants at the pool. When i pitched a solution of number parking i was told it was against their Policy and there was nothing to be done. There are several vehicles that get parked in these spots and left for weeks at a time with nothing done. As well as nonresidence parking in these spots. The management here has done absolutely nothing and the maintenance team is a complete joke. The maintenance team will also let themselves into your apartment without knocking or notice. This has also been brought to management with no rectification.
