    Avoid Land Title, Inc in Wichita, Kansas.
    I closed on some property in early April. I was not given a copy of the Settlement Statement to review prior to closing. A few hours after closing, I noticed an error in the property tax that was pro-rated. The error cost me over $400.00. I reached out immediately to Land Title by email. It was a Friday evening so I waited for a response until Monday afternoon. None! I called Tuesday morning during business hours and only got voice-mail. I left a message. No response. I reached out several more times by email with zero responses. After 2 months, I threatened to report them to the BBB, then I suddenly got a response.
    During this discussion I was told they would look into it. No response back for over a month. I reach out again in early July. I was told that the person getting the answer was on vacation. I patiently waited another 2 weeks. No response! I reached out again and was giving a demeaning answer about how property taxes are complicated and hard to calculate. That was false! I contacted them one last time in late August and they final told me there was nothing they could do. The extra money went to the Buyer of my property and they suggested I reach out to him. I chose not to bother the Buyer. It was not his fault. In the end, I know that I should have reviewed the Settlement Statement much closer before signing. It is just very sad how poor the customer service is at Land Title, Inc. I will never close on another property with them.
