About 10 years ago I had them put dampeners in my air ducts so that I could regulate the air in different zones in my house. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that they weren't working anymore. I called Stith and someone came out the next day and confirmed that one of them was no longer working. He said that he would need to order another one. That was over a week ago, and have not heard anything since.
I called last Friday and left a voice message. Never heard back. Tuesday I called and spoke to the receptionist. She said that either she or the guy that came out would get back with me. Nope. Yesterday I sent an email.
      Nothing.
      Customer service is Zilch here.

We were out August 1st for the service, the technician did confirm that it needed replaced. He called and left a message for customer with pricing and needed the okay to order. I did let the technician know the customer called Tuesday August 8th  and that it needed to be ordered  which he did. On Wednesday the 9th the technician had a family emergency and was unavailable. Today is Thursday the 10th, we do our best to get things taken care of efficiently but sometimes it doesn't alway happen as planned. Our email has been down since July 11th and we have had our IT company working with our mail provider to correct the issue. Apologies for what ever inconvenience this has caused you.

The tech who performed the repairs was most competent, I am happy with the repair. When I received the bill, I was flabbergasted. Parts were more than double the retail price and labor was just a random amount not based on hours and price per hour. The tech had a family medical emergency and left for a period of time. I was billed for those hours. I went to the office to dispute the charges. The owner, Melodie ***** spoke with me. She refused to accept my proof that the prices for supplies were drastically inflated, and the labor price was not accurate. She ridiculed me and accused me of "hanging out" with the tech. I took this to mean that she believed the tech and I had an illicit liaison. I informed her I was going to contact a lawyer and she again ridiculed me, asking if I was going to get a lawyer I won't name. I also informed her that I would contact BBB. The original website Bob ***** had showed that they had an A+ rating. That website has been updated within the last two weeks, that website has been updated and the rating has been removed.

It is always nice to hear both sides- I am glad you mentioned the "random" labor rates because you were charged 378.00 when it should have been 472.00 at our hourly rates. If you would like, we can adjust the labor to the higher correct amount. And as far as the price of parts we charge a regular mark up just the same as every other business, restaurant, gas station, literally every.other.business. The "proof" of your pricing was not accurate, and I explained that to you as well. We do not obtain our repair parts from Amazon or the other "Home Improvement Stores" so there can not be a comparison to the numbers you came up with. I spoke with you initially on the phone about your complaint and you informed me your budget was only $200 for the repairs, which you never once communicated with the scheduler, the tecnician or anyone else. You also never requested any kind of pricing information. I gave you the option of breaking your payments up which is not normally a choice, which you accepted. You were also not charged for the time the technician had to leave- and I explained how our system tracks hours. I never insinuated of an "illicit liason" you have dreamed that one up on your own, I only stated that unless he was parked in your driveway just hanging out his location would have changed when he left the job. In other words if he was there working it showed him at the same location except for the time he left for his emergency. In conclusion, if you would have communicated that you only had $200 to spend on repairs we could have done one of the repairs and come back at a later time for the other one, I am sorry you feel it is our fault you didn't let anyone know your budget was limited for this.

I am curious as to how you feel being UNDER charged for the labor is fraudulent and inflated? If it was supposed to be 3.5 hours at 135 per hour your calculation is correct-472.50. YOU were charged 378.00 which according to my adding machine is 94.50 LESS than what you should have been charged. There is no possible way you were able to obtain pricing from our suppliers as they are contractor only websites. I will look forward to hearing from your legal counsel, I think we have exhausted our time on this platform.

I did ask Ms. ***** for her supplier name . She gave me ***************. I checked retail price for ******. A ******** Model 17 outside faucet 8 inch is listed retail for $41.99. I did not check ****. I also checked ************ their price was $41.55. ***** charged $90.00 for the same faucet that was obtained for less than half the retail price. She also charged me $35.64 for two ***** 2001 toilet flappers. A three pack for the same flappers retails for $14.90. As far as the labor goes. Ms' ***** claimed service per hour is $135.00 per hour. I was charged $378.00 total. There was no mention of hours accumulated. When I asked for a breakdown of hours and labor, Ms. ***** calculated 3.5 hours at $135.00 per hour. That calculation adds up to $472.50. Ms. ***** had not made that calculation before I asked. So, she obviously did not know the total beforehand. That tells me she just put down a random labor price and that explains why she did not show a breakdown of price for labor and hours worked. I will not pay fraudulent inflated prices, so I guess the next step is to contact a lawyer.
