    Owner quoted and received $480 for a simple rework of four chair seats, including new filling. The seats were detached from their chairs and delivered to the business owner on October 20. The $480 payment was paid that day on Visa. Owner said he’d have them back to us with our selected fabric “in about 2 weeks.” He copied the Visa card info on the receipt, including the expiration date and security code, then gave us our copy of the receipt. It was undated. On November 22, after several phone calls to check status, the owner called to say our selected fabric had not come in, but he had similar fabric on hand and could have the seats ready by 4:00 pm that day. We picked up the finished seats. Two days later two new charges appeared on the Visa statement ($125 each). Called the owner; he said new charges were “for the filling”. So now, even after the delay and failure to furnish the selected fabric, our bill was a total of $730 for recovering four simple chair seats. Advised the owner to remove the new charges from the Visa account today. We’ll call Visa to follow up.
