    I would not recommend adopting or donating to this rescue.

    They turned down my application without properly processing it. Two references were never called while two others were called during work hours. The references attempted to call back later in the day with no return call.

    The rescue claimed none of my references called back which they deemed "suspicious". Moreover, I supplied the references with about 48 hours before they turned the application down. So they didn't give ample time to process it.

    I've owned dogs since 96, provided an excellent veterinary reference, and also references including a neighbor, a friend who stayed with us for almost two months between housing situations, a friend who volunteers fir a local shelter who I've known since 96, and another friend I've known since 87.

    Zero reason to turn my application down. I adopted elsewhere, a rescue that was far more professional. When I called the rescue out on their unprofessionalism, I was told I was acting entitled, was accused of throwing a hissy, and it was insinuated I was lying about adopting another dog.

    Copies of text messages reflecting what references told me and pictures of the new dog were promptly given to this rescue following the unprofessional accusation.

    Uncalled for to project onto an adopter and to gaslight.
