  I called to have my two outside faucets repaired and to have my air conditioner serviced. They changed my appointments twice before I got someone to do it. during the repairs the plumber had to leave twice to get parts each time was 20 minutes. The air conditioner guy had to leave once to get stuff to anchor the plastic pallet under the air conditioner, because it was not set up right when it was installed. he checked the unit and everything was good. However I was very upset when I recieved the bill, they charged me $703.50, The labor was written up at 2.5 hrs for each job, for a total of 5hrs at $100.00 per hour. Who Makes $100.00 per hour, not many people in this area, when I questioned them about the bill, I got no satisfaction. So I told that I was done with them and that I would never deal with them again. I would not recommend them to anybody anymore.

  Unfortunately, labor prices, like many other commodities across the board, are high in 2025. The current rate in this area for a master plumber is $100.00-200.00 per hour - C & K is at the lower end of the pricing. When C & K replaced the customer's equipment in 2021, he signed off that he was satisfied with the work & paid the bill. Four years later, the customer called asking a technician to remove the pallet under the AC & level it with blocks underneath it. This was very time-consuming with one technician to unhook the AC, move the AC, remove the lizards & debris, lay out the bricks to level, replace the pallet & move the AC back into place, reconnect the unit (also complete the preventative maintenance). When replacing existing old plumbing parts, it sometimes means a trip to the supply store to get the specific parts. Our technicians carry numerous parts on their trucks but it is impossible to have all the that are needed for each job. When the customer called to discuss his bill, he mentioned that he was on a fixed income & we offered an option for him to pay the bill in installments. The customer declined.

  I have personally talked to Charlie in person and on the phone. He called to ask us about getting a new furnace and gave us the cost. We didn't need a new furnace at the time so he gave us the best option to fix it. He was professional and answered all of our questions. We appreciated him calling us first before ordering our part. We've been doing business with him for over 4 years and we've never had a problem.

  I have used C & K services for 5 and a half, at my home, my office, and non-profit organization. They have always been friendly, timely (call today and get service in less than 2 days.) Their prices are reasonable. Any issue, I've had has been addressed immediately and professionally.

  A call for an annual service on my AC was received. An appointment was set, and service was completed. A call was received prior to his arrival to let me know he was in route The gentleman was timely and considerate. Two weeks later a normal wear and tear part failed. Again an appointment was made and timely repair received. Again very polite and professional service received.

  I have used C & K Construction for many uses in my home for a number years. Some of the issues they have maintained or worked on me for me is the furnace, hot water heater, air conditioner, toilets, bath tub leaks, and garbage disposal. There are quick to assist me with any emergency issues that come up and I cannot say enough good things about the Owners Charlie & Becky. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for issues with any of the pre mentioned appliances. They do a great job

  I’ve contacted C&K many times over the last 10 years for AC repairs, annual servicing on my heating unit and AC unit, and plumbing issues for many years. The service is always prompt, professional. The staff is extremely kind and respectful. I know when I place a service call it will be great service all around.   Charlie is the owner of C&K Construction for Junction City, KS. He’s the most unprofessional business and owner I have come across. Not only does his business cost owners extra money due to their poor installs that break units, they do not treat their customers with respect. He made my wife cry by yelling at her for mentioning their mistakes and says “it’s like a girl to cry”. Then after having said he would pay for the install of the replacement part because it was the right thing to do, he says he won’t. There are multiple complaints on Facebook about his business.
