I’m filing this complaint against Wolf Furniture Galleries due to deceptive and evasive business practices. In July 2024, I ordered a sofa based on specific features the seller assured me it had—features I needed for recovery from upcoming spinal surgeries. No floor models were available, so I relied entirely on their representations. The sofa arrived late, lacked the promised features, and failed mechanically within days.
The merchant refused a refund or exchange. They briefly loaned me a chair, which broke, then took it back when the sofa was delivered. A week later, they took half the sofa for repairs, said it would be returned in three days, and left the other half—unstable and unsafe for me and my three small children. Then they went silent. For over four months (seven months total from purchase), they ignored my calls and messages. I had no sofa, no updates, and no resolution—while recovering from spinal surgery and caring for three children.

Only after I filed a formal dispute did they offer to return the “repaired” item. By then, I no longer trusted the seller or product. I calmly declined and offered pickup of the unused half still in my home. They refused, blamed the manufacturer, and spoke to me in a hostile, sarcastic, and demeaning tone—yelling, calling me names, threatening to sue me, and hanging up on me.
They then submitted false statements to the finance company—first that the item was “final sale,” then that the issue was “already resolved.” Neither is true. I was never notified of or agreed to any resolution, nor did I receive a refund, timely repair, or replacement.
Their actions reflect bad faith, misrepresentation, failure to disclose refund policies, and obstruction of dispute resolution—violations of the Kansas Consumer Protection Act and FTC standards. I’m not seeking resolution from the business, as their conduct suggests they are unlikely to respond. I share this to inform others of their deceptive practices and prolonged evasion.
