      Last summer, we contracted Crown Wheele Mechanical to install a pad for our Generac. In addition, they performed the yearly maintenance on the Generac and AC unit. They did a good job, so we decided to us them for the **** yearly checks. On 11/30/23 they performed the yearly maintenance on the furnace. In addition, they told us we needed a new water expansion tank, drain and refill, and pressure and temperature relief valve. I approved the work, but I think the charge of $588.49 was too high. I should have received a second opinion. During the 11/30 visit, the tech said that our Water Softener System was configured incorrectly, the tech moved a valve to show me the valve was not necessary. I said I did not want him to do the work and would contact the water softener co. After he left, the Water Softener stop working. As a result, I had to pay a $90.00 service charge for a call. The ****************** said that the Tech from CWM, (I have pictures) put the valve in a by -pass mode so all water going through our house was not being filtered. I called the owner of CWM on 1/10 to lodge a complaint. He said that the Tech should not have worked on the Water Softener, and he would get back to me on why the tech did so. Not hearing from the owner, I called back on 1/16 and talked with the owner's wife, who also said they don't do that type of work and they would get back to me. As of 1/17/24, we have not heard from CWM Lesions Learned:1. Make sure CWM does no additional work on systems they are not qualified to do. 2. Consider a second opinion when getting a quote from CWM 3. The customer service they demonstrated to us was very unsatisfactory and disrespectful.We wrote the review not to seek any money from CWM. We just wanted to make others aware of what occurred.
