NP assistant injects me with 80 mg. of kenalog. Under the direction of the *** She never explained the disfiguring endocrine system wrecking side effects this steroid would do to me. Biggest mistake of my life walking in that building. Days after the shots I developed unbelievable pelvic pain, muscle atrophy, skin thinning, tachycardia, moon face, anxiety, hair loss, red dots on my body, easy bruising, irregular periods. One leg and buttuck muscle wasting away, injection site scarring, subcutaneous fat atrophy. Insomnia. She lied about it's duration in my body. And never discussed a word about any of these side effects. Months of complete misery caused by that *** And it's still not over. You're supposed to trust nurses. I went to my pharmacist to ask for advice. She asked if I have good kidneys and liver because that's a massive volume. Very irresponsible. My nightmare is still ongoing. I will never be the same again. Kenalog was banned. It shouldn't even be injected into people anymore. But it is. The sad thing about it is She's oblivious to the damages of this drug. And didn't take the time to do research before going ahead and recommending it to people. If she did and still recommends this then she's evil. She can't claim dumb. She's a nurse. A medical professional. I have to live the rest of my life with the damages this NP and her assistant has caused me. Stay away from this place. She needs more education in pharmaceuticals. Prednisone and it's effects on the endocrine system. On the nervous system. It almost killed me. It's traumatic remembering that I walked into that exam room a normal healthy person and left there with h*** about to be inflicted on my body. Dermatology center of indiana Plainfield caused 6 hospital visits, 3 primary care visits and 2 gynecologist visits within 3 months time.I do not recommend this place.

Nurse Practitioner response to the complaint:Nurse Practitioner discussed risks of increased blood pressure and blood sugar as well as atrophy of dimples at injection site with the patient prior to administration of kenalog injections. Patient consented verbally to treatment of kenalog injections. Treatment was appropriate for diagnosis and assessment at initial visit. At her follow up original complaint of contact dermatitis had resolved due to the treatment she received. Her exam of buttocks was normal no atrophy present. She also did not have muscle atrophy, skin thinning or bruising. She did not discuss hair loss at the first or second appointment. Nurse Practitioner recommended immediate follow up with her PCP due to anxiety and reported suicidal thoughts. Nurse Practitioner also recommended follow up with ********************** which she chose not to schedule. She references prednisone in complaint, but no prednisone was prescribed by Nurse Practitioner.
