  • Advertising Review:
On July 8th, 2022 BBB challenged advertising claims made by CBD Jubilee ("Jubilee"). Specifically, BBB requested that the business substantiate claims that implied that CBD and CBD products may be a safe and effective treatment for a range of human health conditions, as well as substantiate claims that implied that CBD and CBD products may be a safe and effective treatment for a range of canine and feline health conditions. Additionally, BBB requested that Jubilee substantiate claims that represented CBD and CBD products as superior to conventional medicine. Jubilee claimed that "pharmaceuticals come with some very nice benefits...relief. They also come with some big costs. Many people experience significant negative side effects...addiction issues and possible long-term, degenerative problems...The difference with CBD (Cannabidiol is that your body makes its own endogenous cannabinoids and we all have this beautiful, regulatory Endocannabinoid Systems (ECS) that responds positively to supplementing with CBD. That is the overall goal of taking a tincture, capsule, edible or vaping. To encourage your body to make more of its own cannabinoids and help put your body into homeostasis/balance." Jubilee also claimed that "when you ingest CBD you are working on your total brain and body through the ECS. All CBD products work on your systematically...this means that the many health issues which so many people have - anxiety, insomnia, inflammation, depression, pain, PTSD, etc. - can be impacted by supplementing with CBD." This challenge was conducted pursuant to the BBB Code of Advertising, Section 1 - Basic Principles, Section 28 - Objective Superlative Claims, and Section 34 - Claimed Results. As of August 26, 2022, Jubilee has not responded to BBB requests. The case has been closed as unsubstantiated."
