Around the end of last year times were a little tough being im still a young adult trying to figure everything out with my girlfriend and our daughter we were put out of her mothers house and the residents living here (my younger brother and sister) let us stay with them we werent on the lease and we understand how the terms work but we had nowhere else to go and they stayed close to our jobs, Originally the plan was to move 6 months from november 19th 2024 (their move in date) Coming april we began looking for places after a few hardships found a place to accept us . The current apartments (9th ave) sent a notice to the door the day of April 21st (After having our rent raised significantly since feb of 2025) stating they discovered there were extra people living with them ,our on paper move in date was supposed to be the 2nd of may we called them to ask if that was okay they said "yes" , We found out someone took the the closest unit to the 2nd at the apartment we applied for , they said the next available one will be the 15th of may we told the leasing agents at 9th ave that news . They wanted me to reapply after being denied twice , So me and my brother went up to the 9th ave office and I was introduced to the property manager Monday April 28th Approached respectfully and then goes to say "You can live here but shorty gotta go , what is shorty gonna do " referring to the mother of my child she made that statement because she (my spouse)owes a balance for the company above the 9th ave apartments that we cannot afford to pay at this moment after those statments she then informs me that "they all live through here and they aint going for nun of dat" I've also been informed by the downstairs neighbor/maintenance man that there was a time they sent the same notice and raised their rent tremendously I honestly feel like its wrong rules are rules but they way they keep goin about it is very un professional it feels like they borderline harrass us riding around the apts
