*** has been replacing waterlines since January if this year. Yesterday they turned the water off to complete repairs. Was told it would be back on around 3pm. Kept checking with my nearest neighbor and they put in an emergency call and was told theyd be charged $20 if they deemed it not an emergency. It was after 9:30pm when someone came to investigate. Low and behold, they never tied the two houses into the new waterlines all while telling us this job had been completed. While the rest of the neighborhood had water by 3:30pm Bullying customers with threats of an additional charge for their negligence is more than unacceptable.

Told us they would turn water back on today, now they are saying it could be tomorrow. We paid it yesterday and paid a reconnection fee already.

I needed a copy of my bill for a medical reason and I have a dateline to submit it. So I called American water to see if they could email me a bill since they encourage paperless billing. They said they have no means to do it because their system was down completely do to a cyber attack. BUT, when I called, the automated system said my bill was pass due, how much I owed and going to let me pay. If their system was down completely for security of customers like they said, no automated answering should be able to tell me Im pass due and the amount owed. So their system might be down some what but not completely like they are telling customers! False leafing!

Indiana American Water encourages paperless billing, yet they charge $1.95 PROCESSING FEE when you pay online. I find this disgraceful for a utility company. They want to reduce paper and expense yet charge the CUSTOMER a baseless fee for paying online? What does this fee cover? Disgraceful to charge customers fees like this!

I am old school from paper era and I am used to paying 1 water bill, I moved to indiana and now have 2 water bills and they enrolled me on email bills which I never really open or use. I paid the one water bill and forgot the other for $62 and I didn't receive any cut off or disconnect notice in my email I double and triple checked so now I am going back to paper bills, I am not young and tend to forget I now have to pay 2 different companies for water in my 1 home, and I forget one time with a credit score of *************************** I paid it the same day and they charged me $40 to reconnect but not the same day either, that is a **** shame they can't turn on my water until the next day, I am almost 66 and single and live alone, sometimes people forget, and need a reminder for disconnect notice or something, I see how you treat your elderly, I could see if my bills was hundreds of dollars but it wasn't. My next bill I can see already is $12.58, I am sure you would disconnect me for $12 as well, you should be ashamed of yourself!!!

************** Will shut off your water before the dates listed on their website. Have been dealing with these resource cowards for years now. Then they will charge a reconnect fee and never give your money back. Please run away from this monopoly.

Have been dealing with Indiana Water Company in ******** for yet the 4th week now. I initially wanted service turned on at my rental home last month. First Service man came out and swore the water was on. So having to call back another service man came out and called me while he was there and admitted that nothing had been done or turned on before. After this event the rest of our service calls have been from H*** Once we turned on the main valve in the home water began leaking from their meter and the valve. Four calls and numerous apologies from customer service; NONE of the service men have been truthful about coming to fix our issue. They've lied on the times they have been there or calls that they've claimed to have made announcing their on the way. And the last time I can deal with them is due to yesterday's service appointment was set from 12:30PM until 3:00PM. My husband decided that he's be at the home and just do work around the place at noon and stay there until they come so this way they could not lie about coming. At about 2:30PM I called customer service and was told that someone came there at 10:15AM and then cut and pasted the same report from weeks before with a "No one home and no answer when called" report note. I am going above their heads on these workers. This is laziness on the part of the employees that obviously should find work elsewhere if they can not bother to service the people they were hired to help. After all our grief and very sincere sympathy from the customer service there on the phone, we found out that the serviceman had turn our water back off outside some time before and this is way he was not bothering to try to make a serious attempt to rectify our issues. My next step is to rectify this issue with the City Counsel and get my service on so that we may complete the work on our home. And also to have whoever that particular worker never be assigned to our property again.
