I'm the owner of ********************** based out of ***************************. I've been trying to set up an account with ********************** so that myself and my team can Service our customers with *********************************************. From the advice of a certified RV technician, use ******* out of ******* instead. Their customer service and support will actually pick up the phone while Dometic hides behind a computer and only allows you to email them. Furthermore, Dometic will probably read this and deny any emails from me, but I have saved the screenshot to my phone for proof of contact. If I could give zero stars I would

As a fire fighter since 98, I know how important fire safety is. In December we had an RV tech check out our furnace and they said its fine! A few months later my wife being smart jumped into action when our 2020 Jayco Northpoint with a Dometic furnace caught fire in February 2023. It was -5 F degrees in **** and I was at the fire station. She called me and said she smelled smoke. Our dog had alerted her and she got the kids and the dog into our truck. She turned off the breakers and the gas, which prevented a total loss of the trailer. When I came home, I found the furnace had burned a hole through the burn chamber and damaged the floor, wires, and pipes. The fire had also melted the water lines, which sprayed water and stopped the fire from spreading. I spent $8,000 to repair the damage and sent the furnace back to Dometic. They refused to reimburse me for anything. ***** also denied any responsibility. I didnt even get a discount on new parts. I hired an RV tech and showed them the receipts, but they didnt care. I only asked for some help with the repair costs, not for extra expenses like lodging and loss of work. Both companies blamed each other and ignored me. I fixed the trailer and sold it. If you care about your family, you should avoid them too. I was lucky that my wife acted fast and saved our family (my wife, four kids, and two dogs). I didnt claim it on the insurance because I thought one or the other would take care of us. It also took months to get denied from Dometic. I didnt have the furnace anymore so insurance would not cover it! So we paid all of this out of pocket!#jayco #JaycoRV #jayconorthpoint #NorthPoint #dometic #DometicOutdoor #dometicfurnace #rvlife #rvfulltime #safteyfirst #familytime #SaveTheChildren #SaveOurChildren #publicserviceannouncement #RVing #safetytips #safety #lifesafety #love #outdoorlife #outdoors #TravelGoals #traveltips #firefighters #fire #customerservice #customersatisfaction Very Dissatisfied Customer.

I had a unit under warranty. The ac unit went down and i was able to get ahold of the customer service. They sent me straight to escalation department and had my warranty processed quickly and painlessly. The people who took care of me were efficient and helpful through the whole process. Excellent fast efficient customer service and **********************.

Don't ever buy products from Dometic. I tried both a fridge and an A/C unit. The fridge was sent to me and was broken and would not cool. They sent me TWO MORE fridges and all of them were broken, dented and would not cool.I ended up going with Iceco and loved it.The second purchase I made was a Dometic RTX **** and the only reason I did is theirs is the only one on the market that seems to use 12volt power at a reasonable level for boon docking. It was use lower power which is great! But it doesn't actually cool anything. Worked fine for a week or two and took it out on a trip and failed immediately when it was warm.I emailed them and all they are saying is because it was installed on a van they won't help me. Takes days for them to respond. Do yourself a favor if you are a DIYer like a lot of us are just skip them for a company with better service and products that work as advertised.

I would like to complain about the lack of instructions when using a Dometic Air conditioner that came with our camper. NO where does it warn you to use only with 30 amp or higher service to avoid burning out the unit. Yet our camper dealer and the customer care center at ********************** tells you to never use with ****-amp service unless ALL other AC equipment is turned off. Dometic refuses to reply to my two letters alerting them of this lack of information in the handbook or to have a warning posted on the unit's controls.

One year old lightly used dometic ac on airstream failed due to bolts falling out of fan motor assembly. Was in route to ********************* with reservations made months in advance. It was hot. Arrange to have mobile repair made in ***** *******. These guys have one thing only to say. You must use their approved service center. The bolts falling out of new units is a frequent topic on airstream forums. You would think they would at least pay the labor charge for their negligence.

There's a good reason this business has an F rating. Their products are overpriced and quit within years. I've had two (bought in used vans). The first was brand new the temperature varies by 5 degrees hot or cold (so you set it to 42 and it could be 37 or 47, depending on . . . what?). The second is an $1100 unit CFX-50W that the thermister (thermostat) died on after 2 1/2 years. That is unacceptable. Warranty is for two years, so not much I can do about it. Trying to get it fixed is hard - so few places service them. And, I was told that because mine is in a van (not an RV) they may not even service it.
