Being ****** generous with 1 star! Made an appointment and took my 2007 Mercury Mariner Premier over to have a starter and flex plate replaced. They called me an hour or two after getting it into their shop and told me they wouldnt work on it because it was unsafe to drive. I went over to pick it up and they charged me $70 for calling me to tell me they werent working on it. Theyd disconnected and reconnected the battery, leaving the negative connection loose so that it wouldnt charge and the guages wouldnt work. Took it to a Mercury dealer for a second opinion (who doesnt want involved in their mess) and they said it was roadworthy and safe enough to be driven, if thats what I chose. Also, a tire shop whod done a tire repair about a week or so ago didnt see any issues that would have made it unroadworthy or dangerous, other than suggesting the rear brakes needed replacing. Jeffs Towing and Auto Repair are neither certified nor licensed to determine a vehicles safety, and to make such an accusation to a customer.

Hey ****! I must say I'm pretty surprised by this review.  Weve repaired your vehicles before without issue.  I get it,you're mad that we refused to fix something we deemed unsafe. If you took it to 100 shops, half would fix it, half wouldn't.  I preach A LOT to my employees about safety. I worry constantly when they are towing and standing under vehicles.  I spend my daily drive to work praying for their safety.  SO maybe I go a bit overboard.  I'm ok with that.  Guaranteed you can find someone to fix something if we won't. I can also guarantee you can get someone to tell you exactly what you wanna hear.  But what this should boil down to is a difference of opinion and we all move on and have a great day. This isn't exactly what I would consider a "mess" and I don't think it's something that calls for bad reviews on every platform.
