    As a manufacturer of products in the food industry, Handi-foils actions not only are repulsive but also malicious! The company hired me in early July 2023 as a receiving clerk. I went through all the training modules as most companies require them. Upon completion of my training, I was ready to hit the ground running. I was always on time to my shift and even arrived early at times and would stay late helping lighten the workload on others. As time progressed many colleagues of mine mentioned that my work ethic and performance was one of the best, they had seen compared to the previous individuals who worked in my position. Moving forward I noticed there were a few employees that began to have an issue with me. Like adults we all worked together to resolve the issue. Upon coming to a resolution, we all went our separate ways and continued with doing our job. Two weeks later I was going about my day when ***********************, human resources manager called me into the office. ***** stated that I was fired for not meeting the company's expectations and I was to leave immediately. This made no sense, and everyone kept telling me I was doing a great job, even the truck drivers complimented me because prior an ex-employee had sent a trailer to the wrong location, and she suffered no repercussions. Was I truly fired because I did not meet the expectations or because the individual, I had exchanged words with is having an affair with the plant manager *****************************. After being fired from Handi-foil I struggled to find another job, so I filed for unemployment. A week later I received a letter from unemployment stating that lying is a federal offense! I had no idea what the unemployment office was referring to until they informed me that Handi-foil had approached the unemployment office and told them I was fired for misconduct which is far from the truth. Firing me was not enough, they are now coming after my livelihood! My only means to scrape by in these tough times!
