    terrible stay. the lodge wasnt up to part we had bugs all in our lodge and no one checked on us. The water wasnt working nor was the heat

    Do not under any circumstances stay here. We were staying in a family cabin for the weekend celebrating my Girl Scout end of year. I had 12 girls and several parents participating in the weekend so we required a large space to accommodate everybody. We selected a cabin so we could have planned meals and keep the group together and were deeply disappointed with our experience in cabin 24-1. About midnight on Friday 5/31 one of the bedrooms was discovered to have bedbugs. It made for a horrible night requiring us to displace five of the people from the cabin to another location and vacating everyone else in the morning. The way the issue was handled by the staff was embarrassing. First they told us we were making it up then after sharing pictures and video we got acknowledgment but nobody did a proactive thing to make the situation right. We tried to make the best of it but ended up leaving yesterday, a day short of our plan. The management handled this in the worst way possible. All I expected was somebody to offer to make this right and every step of the way I needed to ask over and over for that. The team repeatedly told me that Grand Bear doesnt own the villas so cannot agree with or make a decision about a refund. It was disgusting, disappointing, and most importantly, I was so sad that the staff was unwilling to make it right for our girls. In the end, they only agreed to a full refund if we vacated the second villa which only sleeps nine and not sufficient for our entire group, immediately. One of the moms found a complaint review from April 2024 about this exact cabin which made the situation even more infuriating because they knew there was a problem and still booked the cabin.

    this place is not accommodated I stayed at this property for mother's day had ro check out early due to a death in my family so I ask will they refund me 1 night the manager told me there was nothing they can do for me not even give me 1 day credit ..so sad

    Bed bugs and Legionnaires!Allmost every part of the resort was closed except for the disgusting, stinky yellow water park.There were bandaids and diapers on random ledges, bits of mushy food on the ground, and the water was freezing. The waterslides, whirlpool, and wave pool were all out of order. The hostess told us it would be too long of a wait for the in-house restaurant because they were short staffed, so we ate gas station pizza. One very young looking employee would squeegee the puddles towards the front very briefly, and this was the only staff I saw near the water during our whole stay. No employees knew the status of the defunct water features, and frankly none cared. I did not see a single lifeguard on a chair, or maintenance person with a broom once!!Mini-golf was also closed.We were pressured into all of these bogus amenities when we booked, and walked right into their 2-night stay trap. We experienced 'everything' this resort had to offer in a couple hours and then felt bored, trapped, and hustled.The worst part was the "Family Lodge" we stayed in. There were signs of bed bugs in both beds and the pull-out sofa, as well as hair and boogers. The sink would also randomly fill with foul waste water, sit there clogged and slowly drain. Revolting. We called maintenance to come and waited outside our door for a half hour. They never came!The Internet finally came on at about 11:30PM when guests were going to bed. Before then, it was completely unusable and I relied.on my mobile data.This place feels like a scam that lures you in with a dazzling website, then hits you with the cold-hard reality of a filthy cesspool with many cleanliness and service issues that seem to be permanent.The owners have given up.

    If I could give zero stars I would! I had my wedding here 7/8/2023 and what a mistake! Nasty and dirty rooms for everyone who stayed, rehearsal dinner pizzas were disgusting! Food was cold and horrible at reception!!! And management? WHAT A JOKE!!!! I finally talked to **** who promised a refund and I got some of it as of today but not what was told to me when he finally returned my call! I have never seen such a poorly managed resort in my life and would not recommend staying here for any reason! Id rather have slept in my car and gotten married in my backyard! The staff and specifically the management are rude as can be!!!! Stay away from this place at all costs! They need to be shut down!

    Guests beware, we took our family to Grand Bear Resort ******** and a family member has come back with Bed bug bites. We were there June 6-8th in a cabin. Bites have been diagnosed by two different doctors with written documentation. We have tried to work with the hotel and they have told ** that last week there would be a pest control company and we would recieve the report by tomorrow. After calling daily, never ever able to get a hold or a return call from **** the Director and a manager is always in a manager meeting, I finally heard back this afternoon, that they still haven't sent out the pest control company to investigate. I have never left a negative review and my kids loved the pool there and hiking but when the hotel is willing to risk the health of future guests, I can't stay quiet and let this happen to another family.

    The worst resort I have ever been to. When I checked in the room they sent ** to was not even cleaned yet. Had to wait for them to move us to a clean room. The indoor waterpark is cold inside the water temperature was at 70 degrees which below legal temperature for a waterpark. I used my personal thermometer to take the temperature. Spoke to the front desk plenty of times and the staff inside the water park. Nothing was done about the situation. Absolute horrible experience that Im currently having. ?? Dont waste your time or money coming here.
