  I do not recommend doing business with Midwest Garage, owner Jeff Klees. I signed a contract on 10/26/2024. He informed me after I wrote him a check for half the cost up front he would not be able to start for 45 days. After 45 days I contacted him for a start date and he did not know who I was. I described my situation, gave him my address, and even landmarks around my house to refresh his memory. He still claimed he had no idea who I was and would need to call me back the next day once he got to his office. I did not hear back from him the next day, or that weekend. On Monday I called and got no answer or response. That afternoon I sent him a text with a picture of the cashed check and a threat of filing a civil suit, and only then did he respond and gave excuses on why he needed more time. He told me 3 weeks. Well, here we are 3 weeks later and still no available start date. I asked for a refund and he refused. I checked with the city, he never even got a permit to tear down and rebuild my garage. I believe this is a fraudulent company and I am out of several thousands.

  I’m giving 3 stars because of the length of time (3months) to build. They started digging footings June 4, 2023 and finished garage Sept 5, 2023. 2 days of the 3 months time was my delay and I own it but the rest of the delays were not. Jeff from Midwest Garage claims all excuses were not his fault. Not true. Quality of garage was excellent except for side door. Don’t have him do extra concrete work. Concrete failed inspection twice and now I have cracking. All I got was not guaranteed and snippy attitude. Someone else caulked the cracks for me. If you are not in a hurry, are ok with many excuses, ok with promises of showing and then don’t, then give them a try but you were warned.

  I’m sorry for your frustration, the inspector was out twice to 1. Inspect footings 2. prepour inspection which both passed with flying colors. As far as cracks in driveway, you have lots of rebar reinforcement in it they are stress crack which are totally normal in ********. Thank you for your business. I can’t control the weather nor truss companies time frame on them. If you’re going to put a review at least put accurate information.
