    Absolute scam! We purchased a puppy through puppyland and we were told to expect a call from AKC to finish her registration. We recieved a call from this company claiming to be AKC (they are not as I'm reading here and several other places) and they told to be able to complete registration that we had to spend $200+ to be able to register her AND get a few things with her name on it. When we asked if we could opt out of getting the stuff and just complete registration we were told no registration and the stuff cost $200+. After speaking with the store we purchased her from they stated we should not have paid anything. Scam scam scam.

    I am beginning to question this company as many others below have mentioned. I purchased a puppy through PuppySpot and they told me that I should not have to pay anything extra for AKC registration. When I mentioned this to the representative on the phone, she said that my puppy would only have ***** alert for free, but that I would need to pay $100 for its official papers. Why was I charged $100 for my dogs official papers when puppy spot said that they should be free?

    As others here have indicated, I was misled by this service, thinking I was completing my AKC registration, and charged approximately $270 for what ended up being a handful of items that were not worth the cost. Further, my puppy's registration number had inaccurate information -- they told me not to worry about submitting my puppy's information using the form I received, but in fact I HAVE to submit the form in order to get her registered correctly. Misleading service and sales tactic, where they led me to believe the $270 was a "one time registration fee." Extremely displeased.

    Total Scam. I just got off the phone with them because they made me pay 271 dollars for no reason at all. I got my puppy and everything was paid for and I can just register with American Kennel Club by myself. They took my money and won't return it or pick up the phone.

This is entirely separate from the registration with the *** which is completed at no additional cost to you, as it was included at the time of purchase of your puppy.     I was under the impression that the phone call was to come plate registration, not a sales tactic to purchase additional things. I feel scammed beyond doubt after being told there wasnt anything else I needed to do after registering online with the puppy. I would like to have a refund as I feel this is a scam.
