      We unfortunately had a golf ball go through a Pella window 8 weeks ago after dusk. We called Pella to find out if we could replace the broken window, which had been installed by the previous owner. Pella located the records for the install and told us it was a **** window, installed in 2010, and had a 20-year warranty. The person we talked to said we were covered under the warranty, and sent repair parts to a local installer. Unfortunately, the repair parts were for a 2007 window that could not be used to repair my broken window. Several weeks later we got a call from a Pella window sales representative, and he said that our **** window was no longer being manufactured, so was no longer available. I asked him if he could come to our house to help us figure out the appropriate fix. He declined. He also told us that the warranty really did not include golf *****, but rather manufacturing defects. The previous owner did not leave any paperwork on the warranty so I don't have any way to verify what the warranty covers.The question I have is why does Pella provide a 20-year warranty, but don't maintain a proper inventory to service customers needing window repair over that 20-year period?
