The people at Disaster Solutions were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and easy to work with. They went out of their way to help me with my water damage problem. I would not hesitate to call them again, and I would strongly recommend them if you have any water damage issues.

water damaged kitchen ceiling. After an unexpected water leak in my upstairs neighbors condo, my kitchen ceiling had to be completely removed and replaced, which was slightly terrifying. Disaster Solutions came in and fixed everything beautifully and efficiently. Every single person that I dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and very nice. Having worked in customer service most of my life I expect a lot out of people and I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing work done. Disaster Solutions of Illinois ************************************** charged me the homeowner 50% of the contractual price, when the industry standard is 10 to 35% as a down payment.Could this be because I am an African American? (815 ILCS 603/20) Sec. 20. Retainage. No construction contract may permit the withholding of retainage from any payment in excess of the amounts permitted in this Section. A construction contract may provide for the withholding of retainage of up to 10% of any payment made prior to the completion of 50% of the contract. When a contract is 50% complete, retainage withheld shall be reduced so that no more than 5% is held. After the contract is 50% complete, no more than 5% of the amount of any subsequent payments made under the contract may be held as retainage.(Source: P.A. *******, eff. 8-20-19.)Review fromScott H

I cannot speak highly enough about the entire staff and crew at Disaster Solution/Illinois Restoration Services!Back in mid-January 2023, my dishwasher sprung a leak. The leak caused damage to my whole main floor and sent me and my family to a rental home for several months. Disaster Solution was recommended to me by my insurance company, USAA, and I am so happy I contacted them.They arrived quickly after I reported the damage and got straight to work on water mitigation. The first team to arrive was extremely friendly, empathetic and communicative. I had a full house - two toddlers, 3 dogs, a cat and I work from home (plus 20 or so plants that needed to be relocated). The lead of this crew was JB (***************. He was sensitive to all of this and incredibly patient as I worked to reorganize and rearrange my home. Once I got myself organized, him and the crew boxed up the rest of my belongings, wrapped my furniture and took it off to storage for me. After water mitigation was completed, I was contacted by my project manager, ****. **** - is - the - BEST. He was extremely thorough, provided ongoing updates and promptly returned calls (or just answered them immediately). I never experienced a delayed response or frustrating moment with **** and his crew. They always arrived on time, usually had answers to my questions and, if they didnt, I'd hear back within 24 hours. All in all, my little disaster took 5 months to fix. The insurance sometimes dragged, the materials took some time to arrive, but I always knew that if I had a concern that I could simply call my estimator or project manager and they would walk me through the process or provide me with an estimated timeline.Disaster Solution - Illinois Restoration Services

A heartfelt thank you to all at Disaster Solution for your competence, professionalism and courtesy from ***** who graciously fielded my phone calls, to ***** who made sure I had copies of all paperwork, to **** who supervised the project and never failed to answer my questions, to **** and the other tradesmen who did the hands-on work that kept the front of my house from collapsing to doing the final structural repairs that permanently stabilized it. All apointments for inspections were kept. Workers arrived on time and worked diligently, in spite of some dreadful weather. And the work is impeccable and a pleasure for the eyes to behold!This was a frightening and unnerving experience for me, but all at Disaster Solution led me through the process with confidence. Excellent work and follow through on a big project including an complete rebuild of my kitchen and 2 baths following a water damage pipe explosion in the middle of the night. Everyone was very, responsive and extremely capable and pleasant to work with.
