    I was charged $81 for a basic oil change on a ****** versa, knowing that the cost of that service ranges from $40-$50.Tech insisted that our car could only take an expensive full synthetic product, hence the cost.This business used to prominently display a price list behind their register but during this visit, I noticed it was gone.The tech did not ask me what service I was interested in. He pointed me toward the waiting area and started working. That has never happened before. There are different levels of service, the customer has a choice.We've had this car for years and have had twice yearly oil changes. We have never had anyone insist that our vehicle needed this product. Our dealership confirmed this and confirmed that we've never been charged more than *****, for full service....since the recent oil change service that was provided by their shop is part of our car's maintenance records. I believe that this business, that I have used before, targeted me for a scam. Maybe because I'm a woman. Or because I'm older. Or because once the service was complete, that I would have to pay whatever they charged.I have considered contacting the owner, as I believe the manager may have been present and aware of this occurrence, but have not found contact info.I don't think I was the first woman to be overcharged and I probably won't be the last.....but this is unacceptable
