I went through this company as a D*** client . This is because I am disabled , and having trouble standing in the shower . Which meant they knew they would be paid by them ( D*** / Not me) no matter what they left me with apparently . . They gave me a quote that included a shower remodel with a bench seat in the shower, Never told me ,or D*** that there would be any extra charges for that in the original quote .. Which was also to include a fold down bar on the bench end of the shower so I would be able to get back up . Not only did that never happen . They took it upon themselves to measure a living room chair for the height of the bench without asking me first , Had they asked me I could have told them the chair they measured was not the right height in the first place . Then they opted for the smallest shower pan they could get away with . Which left the bench OUTSIDE THE PAN .. Flush to the floor with no where for a shower curtain INSIDE THE SHOWER , AND SHOWER PAN . Then instead of fixing it correctly with a piece of plexi glass OUTSIDE THE BENCH FROM THE FLOOR TO THE TOP OF SHOWER . They put a tiny piece inside ON THE BENCH TOP .. Then cut a L shaped Shower curtain to try to fix that , Which is completely ridiculous . Have you ever heard of someone needing to cut a L shaped curtain ? Water is still going all over my floor because the shower curtain SHOULD BE INSIDE THE PAN TOO .. Not ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PAN ~! I should not have to constantly deal with this water getting on my flooring .. They also damaged my front door ,and then basically refused to accept they did it ~! Or fix it after I pointed it out immediately . After the Thanksgiving holiday when I discovered the damage , That door is never used by me ,or anyone else . Period . I only let them use it to help them make moving thigs in easy for them . They did send me a check for 200$ for door damage , But now I have to find someone to fix both things ~! Bench is not even usable .

Mr. Sutton, your project was fulfilled to the complete satisfaction of the State of Illinois DORS program, and yourself. In addition to the approved bathroom remodeling plan, you were given over $1,200.00 in additional changes from a plastic flip down bench to a custom built in bench free of charge! This bench included a customize/tailored shower curtain with a weighted bottom lining to properly drape over the bench. In addition, Pauli Builders had JP Glass create a custom glass wing wall to prevent water from splashing onto the floor. This change was done gratis to you in an effort to assist you with you needs. Unfortunately, this act of kindness towards you appears to have been an expectation for you and not recognized as our generosity.

Upon our completion of your project, you contacted the Pauli Builders office to state that one of our carpenters and/or one of our trade partners had damaged your front door. After a thorough investigation, it was found that no one had caused the damage you claimed. Your picture you provided our office, and to the DORS representative, portrayed long-term damage to your door that would have been caused prior to our renovation.

However, in another effort to leave you pleased, I offered to provide you with a $200.00 check to apply towards any damage repairs you felt were needed for your front door. I stipulated that I would release this check to you upon the, signed "Certificate of Completion" you signed, and receipt of the complete final payment to our bank from DORS.

Mr. Sutton, you signed off on the completion of work, AND cashed the $200.00 check I sent to you. NOW! You are attempting to blackmail/extort S. F. Pauli Builders Inc. to either provide you with additional work at no charge, and/or provide you with addition cash funds for something you have already received cash funds for.

This attempt to extort S.F. Pauli Builders Inc. has been presented to the case managers and director of DORS. It has been agreed upon by Pauli Builders and DORS that if you continue to attempt these illegal and unethical activities in an attempt to further personally gain from S.F. Pauli Builders Inc., not only with a civil lawsuit follow, but we will be forced to submit your actions to Peoria county District Attorney. We strongly suggest you remove your false claim/complaint immediately.

An extremely satisfying experience. S.F. Pauli Builders is in my opinion the "Gold Standard" in craftsmanship. Pauli installed a series of interior doors. As the work was completed months ago, I have waited till now to provide my review. There is not one single flaw in their craftsmanship. Every door reflects work done by a carpenter who truly cares about quality work. Highly recommend!
