The very worst inspection I have ever seen. So extremely unprofessional. There were stains on the basement floor in the home I was having inspected to buy. These stains showed up on the realtor's page showing the home, i.e. they were not new. NOTHING showed up in the inspection report. After moving some things in, the spots became pools of water. After hiring a real inspector, it was discovered these were leaks from the master bath shower on the main floor!! I called Pristine to inform them of the issue. They stated they were not aware of any issues and that the movers must have hit something moving out causing the water to leak. (Pipes on the basement ceiling!!!) He stated nothing was found during the inspection but he could help find someone to fix the problem. (Admits problem?) After hiring a professional company to fix, it was discovered there was no silicon in the drain when the house was built two years ago. i.e. it had leaked from day one. This was all at my cost. There are two additional similar spots on the floor in the basement. I will find out where the problem is there soon. Do not use Pristine Inspection in Champaign, Illinois. There is an integrity issue with this company. You have been warned. BEWARE!! They definitely are not qualified to inspect a dog house.

We apologize that our service didn’t satisfy your expectations. Our customers’ happiness is always our highest priority. I know you contacted us several months after the inspection. The prior owners were living in the house when we inspected the plumbing, and there were no visible leaks at the time. We did not say the movers caused the leak; we stated that the leak developed in the months following the inspection or was not disclosed by the owners. During our home inspections, we adhere to a consistent protocol for testing plumbing fixtures, as prescribed by our professional standards of practice. We conduct functional flow and drainage tests by running sinks, showers, and faucets for several minutes. We also flush each toilet multiple times to test the flow and drainage and carefully examine each fixture for any signs of leaks. If we identify any issues during our inspection, we will include them in our report. However, it is essential to note that we do not make predictions about future conditions or provide any warranties beyond the time of the inspection regarding the condition of the plumbing fixtures. A home inspection is not a warranty or insurance policy against future conditions.

Absolutely the worst inspectors in central ********. Very dishonest. They are constantly missing maki issues at inspection. Missed insect infestation. Damaged rotted frame and door jams. Bad exterior GFI. John will NEVER admit to his mistakes. He will NOT back up his inspections. He is a liar unprofessional deceitful. No intention of every admitting his mistakes which are numerous and will cost very much to fix. John is a joke.

Please know that this client called to complain about a defective GFI and deterioration at a door trim about eight (8) months after the inspection. We politely explained that the GFI was working and there was no visible damage to the trim during our inspection. These are typical maintenance issues that all homeowners must deal with. A home inspection is not a warranty or an insurance policy. A residential real estate inspection is a snapshot in time, a non-invasive visual inspection. The client refused to listen to reason and has since turned to social media in a petty attempt to discredit our business. He has left us multiple such reviews. A cursory examination of his social media history shows that this client has a similar pattern with other businesses. Our inspection report provided precisely what the standards of practice require of a home inspector’s report - readily observable conditions that might influence a buyer’s decision-making process were described and put forth in a written report.

I would not recommend Pristine. We were very disappointed with an inspection recently received. Mark inspected our new home and there was a glaring issue with a nonfunctional injector pump including standing water in the crawl space and Mark completely omitted this very important issue in his report. John followed up with excuses but did not provide a justification as to why this was missed. We ended up coming out of pocket to have it fixed. We paid for an inspection and did not get a thorough one. There is an integrity issue with this company.

Please note that a residential real estate inspection is a snapshot-in-time visual inspection. We are limited to inspecting readily accessible and visually observable items. There was no evidence of any issues at the inspection. We have photos from the inspection showing no standing water in the crawlspace during the inspection. The injector pump failed after the inspection. A home inspection is not a warranty or an insurance policy against future conditions. We are an experienced inspection company and provide valuable information to potential buyers. As a courtesy and because our client was not happy with our services, we offered to return their fee, but they failed to respond to that offer.
