Important information

  • Additional Info:

It has come to the attention of the Idaho Department of Commerce and Idaho Tourism that the business, TodayzPublishing, is using the name the “Idaho Travel Council” to solicit advertising for their travel publications and media.

On February 18, 2015 the State Department of Tourism issued a statement against TodayzPublishing. Warning issued to persons contacted by the magazine that this company is not affiliated, does not represent, and does not have permission to sell for the department.

This misrepresentation is creating confusion and has resulted in multiple complaints to the Idaho Tourism office, from both inside and outside of Idaho. The recipients of the calls believe it is the State of Idaho and the Idaho Department of Commerce – Tourism Development that is soliciting them. The name the “Idaho Travel Council” refers to a governmental entity within the Idaho Department of Commerce whose members are appointed by the Governor.    The Department of Commerce – Tourism Development office has repeatedly asked TodayzPublishing to cease and desist making claims that it is the ‘official Idaho Travel Council’ or the ‘official travel guide’ when selling advertising space in its guides and promotional videos. The Idaho Attorney General’s office and Idaho Secretary of State’s office are aware of these tactics as well.    Please note, if you receive any communication soliciting advertising that uses the name the “Idaho Travel Council” or implies that the business is somehow affiliated with the State of Idaho or its agencies, this is a private business intentionally causing confusion through misrepresentation in order to sell its product. This business, its employees, and its products and services are in no way affiliated with the State of Idaho, the Idaho Department of Commerce, or Idaho Tourism.
