Culligan Refused warranty of Culligan installation after water softener hose ruptured 3 months later. Do NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY.I needed a home water filter installed, and my water softener moved to accommodate the water filter. Culligan installed the plumbing from the water filter to the water softener and moved (installed) the water softener to its current location.Unfortunately, the plumbing failed when we were on vacation and our basement was partially flooded. When we realized it was the water softener we repaired the work and contacted Culligan for their promised installation warranty. The owner (snake oil salesman) came out to look at the damage.Days later he finally contacted me, only to tell me that it was not Culligans fault and pointed the finger at the company who originally installed the softener, before it was moved/installed in its current location, by Culligan. Thats weird? So to understand=Culligan installed the plumbing, moved/installed the water softener to its current location, I paid for them to do this, they stated that their installation is warranted. The part in question that failed was a simple black hose running from the plumbing (installed by Culligan) to the Water Softener (installed by Culligan) but, as silly as it sounds, that black hose, connecting the plumbing to the softener, that failed, apparently is the only piece NOT warranted by Culligan (hmmmm), thus they are not responsible for the damages to my home. How does that make any sense to any person, any where?Because of Culligan, I have mold in my basement, where my 2 year old son plays. The carpet has been removed and a salvage team called.Culligan moved the softener, installed the plumbing, it is Culligan who is responsible to ensure that ALL plumbing, connections, and installation , etc. are installed correctly and securely. They failed at their job and are now trying to blame everyone except themselves to get out of responsibility for the damages to my home.
