    Two different texts came out several times over a span of a little over a month for a refrigerator that was making a loud noise. The freezer had an ice block would not go below 21 and the refrigerator was at 65. First, one part was replaced, no fix. We had paid $253 and we were told that we would not be charged more if they needed to come back out. I specifically asked that question. Next, a tech came out and decided the freezer door wasn't sealing tight enough so we heated the seal hoping that would work, no fix. The next diagnosis they made was that the freezer needed a new drawer slide. Because ** was giving us a discount on parts I ordered the part. Before the part came the refrigerator was so loud that I spoke with ** and they asked the company to send a tech out and check on it. When the part came it was the wrong part because the tech had given me the wrong number. Mistakes happen, we would wait. However, The company called and said they would not come out anymore. They gave me to the store owner and he told me that it was no longer "economically feasible" for them to come out again and they dumped us. They refused any refund. He did tell me however that ** had paid them $200 but that was "not enough." When the correct part came the tech sent us a ******* so that we could install the part ourselves but the ******* was not for our model. We hired another appliance company who came out, could find nothing wrong with any part of the refrigerator or freezer. The "control board needed to be replaced." We gladly paid him a little under $100 for that visit. I would definitely not recommend Gateway.
