    I had requested a quote on HVAC and plumbing. I walked the owner through the project. He hadnt gotten back to me with a quote, but my contractor needed some demo done. They pulled toilet,pulled a hot water heater, cut off pvc from furnaces and plumbing. 4 guys were there 1 hr and 15 min. I was there and so was my construction crew. The owner wasnt with them sent his Brother and 3 guys. I had a roll off that everything was thrown in. I never imagined he would be so ridiculous in his charges. I got a bill for over $2100. I texted him and asked if this bill was right. His response was that the guys left the shop at 10:30 and got back to the shop at 4:30. It was a 30 min commute to my place. He charges $99 per hour per guy. They were at my place from 11:00 to 12:15. I believe its the owners problem to know where his crew is, because they were not working for me. I dont believe in getting paid commute time, unless its on call or after hours. Im a retired RN and that profession has worked that way for years. Im willing to pay just this once for 1 hour travel time, trying to get along, and 1.5 hours of actual labor time. Its not my problem or responsibility to pay his workers to do whatever they did the rest of the day. If they went to a second call, that would mean he is double charging. I am a single elderly Woman and I am worried he will harass me about this bill. His texts to me were not friendly or professional. I felt bullied and intimidated. Thankyou for your time, I hope for a speedy resolution so I can put this behind me.
