      They do not process withdrawals in a timely manner. Blame it on a third party. We have requested our funds almost 4 weeks ago and still they show pending. With the market as volatile as it is that means losing more money daily! UNACCEPTABLE! Put your money somewhere else. Maybe they are short on funds and keep our money on purpose.........

      I started a withdrawal of my retirement 07/21/22 with them, my husband isn't on the account but I had get his approval and signed in front of a Notary and I have to get my Employers permission to receive my money, I have called several times and get a different story everytime and my Director has too, and one of their companies cancelled my request on Saturday, it's my money, so Monday I had do another request and no one seems to care, I'm very disappointed ??

      I have been lied to several times. The agents are insulting; laughing at my concerns which I discussed sensitive details of my financial needs. An agent shared that my request has not been assigned and can take 14 days before anyone accepts the caseload. On the website, it clearly states the entire process including deposits take 14 days total. This bothers me because every paycheck, I contribute at least $200-$300 not including when I work overtime. I'm worried that I can no longer trust this company with my money. Moreover, my classes have started but not secured because Principal has no regard for time and accountability.

      Principal is doing everything they can to delay me from rolling over my 401(k) into my new job. Ive talked to three different people on three separate occasions and every single customer service representative has told me I need something else. I do what they ask me to do , then I call and tell them Im ready to roll it over and they tell me I need to do something else. How is this legal? How can they keep me from my money? I have filled out the paperwork sent in my marriage license, called my former employee wrote out a letter stating I no longer work there even though I left back in January. And yet thats not good enough. My former employee cant change my last name because I no longer work there and principal cannot change my name because my former employee has a different name even though the other person told me I can use my marriage certificate. This business needs shut down.

      Please do a better job and keep your staff trained, accountable and competent. Are you getting paid over 6 figures to run a non efficient, untrustworthy company? As a POC, knowing what I know now, I would not recommend Principal. Who is in charge of your processing department? If it even exists they done an excellent job at F**cking things up for me to be able to get my distribution. I have my review here and I will share it everywhere. I have SO MANY ISSUES WITH Principal Financial Group!!!!!!!!! How does your processing department CONTINUE to mess up requests?!?!?! I have NOT been able to get my distribution because your processing department somehow continues to mess up my name. Why would my distribution check be sent with my maiden name WHEN MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN UPDATED WITH MY CURRENT NAME?!?!? And now I have to wait even longer because someone or multiple people could not do their job correctly?!?!? This is ridiculous! And the fact that I cant even contact someone in the processing **** directly makes me even more infuriated. Never, ever, would I allow my staff or family and friends to trust Principal with their money. AND the fact that I have to tell your people how to do their job every time I call is ridiculous. And another fact- I am always put on hold when I call. Which normally would be fine, but every. single. call. Something is wrong. This is the last straw. I will email everyone and anyone that I find online. I will use LinkedIn to make it known to Principals CEO how s***** his company is. I will call all the numbers I can find until someone expedites this process for me. Why do I have to wait even longer and not get my distribution when it was your company that messed up? Its been over a month of this crap! And why the f cant we upload our documents? And WHY even have the option to email if youre going to have consumers fax things?!?! The way this company works is NOT EFFICIENT, NOT trustworthy.

      Ive been trying to roll out an old company 401k to a private *** with a partial cash payout for more than 2 weeks now. The person I spoke with first told me it would take 3-5 business days. Then I called back when I didnt receive my funds and was told it can take **** days, but it will finish processing by Friday and I should have my money by Wednesday. Well, its Monday and now Im being told it should finish processing by Wednesday, then another few days to get my money. But no one can seem to tel me why its been delayed. Im just supposed to sit here and wait for an email that *** or *** not be sent, whenever they happen to get to my account.

      Its now Thursday and they still havent completed whatever it is that they need to do. They verified that they do have everything they need from me, and that its an internal issue. But they wont give me an estimated completion date now.

      Me and my wife put all are money together with a loan to pay off two loans with principal so we can apply for a new one. We did a Echeck for over $12000. I was told it would post just give it five days. I called back and the lady question me if I was sure that the funds left my account. We are still waiting for them to find my payment. Whats bad is the payments out of my check stopped because it shows balance zero. On there web site it shows I owe two loans.

      My employer uses principal for dental, vision, short term, long term and life insurance.The end of June 2022 I took off for hernia surgery. Paperwork was submitted by employer and surgeon. Surgery was July 1st. It is now July 23 and still no check. I filled everything out for direct deposit. Nothing. I called on the 21st to find out what was going on. I was told that they had questions as to type of injury/surgery. They hadn't bothered to reach out to the surgeon, my employer or myself. When I told them what I had, they said they can now process the claim and I should receive a check in the mail middle of next week sometime. I was also told my return to work date is before July 30 by their standards. When I started that I am looking at a form from the surgeon who said my return to work date is August 15, I was told that I would not be paid past July 30 and that if my surgeon felt I need more time, they would mail me forms for the surgeon to fill out and they would analyze his opinion. Lazy, rude, arrogant

      Horrible company. Filed for a distribution from my account after separating from a previous employer. Have been dealing with them since April 2022 and have been told that I would receive the money in May 2022 didnt get then was told I would get it in the beginning of June 2022 now being told it wont be until July ******************************************** well theres nothing we can do. Dont trust them with your money.
