  I dont believe this business. I have been scammed and I had my identity stolen. I dont trust people after going through so much h*** I reported this identity theft and it got me nowhere. My credit score dropped almost 300 points. Just to think that I worked hard and delayed any gratification and paid taxes on money that was stolen out of my banking account without any knowledge. The credit union did nothing to help. I am still paying for damages done and still trying to rebuild my credit score which was 810 before this nightmare. I blame the government and Star federal credit union for their incompetent management of the banking system. This has destroyed my health and my finances.

  I received a letter stating I owe charter money. I currently HAVE spectrum. Spectrum bought out charter around here years ago! They are trying to extort $178.00 from **!!!! TOTAL scam!!!!! I called spectrum. They stated they do not use this agency for collections!!!!!!!

  I am an unemployed 100% disabled Combat Veteran. This Company ran a collection on my credit report while I had the final payment of $88 due to be withdrawn from my account. I was told the balance needed to be paid in full by a certain date or it would be turned into the Credit Bureaus. This Company did not tell me this UNTIL AFTER the Collection was posted on my Credit report. I've made numerous phone calls and this was never previously mentioned or I would have paid the amount in full prior to this Company's due date. This Company is deliberately withholding pertinent information about credit reporting nor was this information about their in house "due date" annotated on any letters I received. This is deceptive and fraudulent practice's that penalize the consumer and should be illegal!

  CBE just called me claiming I owe the IRS. I do not owe the IRS. I received a refund. If I owed the debt it would have been taken out. Totally scam. Why do they have a A rating?

  I was never contacted by this agency by either a phone call or mail, but they reported a negative account on my credit report. Disputing this account in order to have a debt verification preformed for the debt. I would like for both accounts to come off my credit report history.   I was not contacted by this agency, but they reported a negative account on my credit report. I dispute the results immediately in order to have a debt verification preformed for the debt. When ever I try to call the phone number attached to the account on my credit, the line does not work and gives a busy signal. I am trying to inquire about what this "debt" is and cannot even find someone to verify and provide information. I have received no written communication about this so called debt either.

  Contacted by CBE regarding a debt owed by another person with a similar name. Automated system asked me to confirm I was such and such person or if I knew how to contact the person, etc. Spoke to a CBE rep and basically told her that I found it a problem if her company was calling my phone and had no idea who they were actually contacting. I don't take pleasure in being verbally abusive to people, but I lost my temper when she lied to me and told me CBE was calling me because my phone number was on the account as a contact number for the person they were trying to reach. Total crap. I've had the same cell number almost 30 years and I'm un-related to the person who actually has the debt. CBE pulled my name and phone number out of a database somewhere, and because I had the right name and right geographic location, decided they would harass me about someone else's debt.

  They called my mother asking for information. I immediately took the phone and began questioning. The woman was very rude and said she couldn't tell me nothing because it was personal in nature and I said I dealt with their business. She got rude and hung up on me. I don't care. I retraced the number out of Nashville and it said CBE and thr closest location is Clarksville. Neither parent owe anyone anything. Watch out, I'll be answering the phone every time so they better watch. My parents aren't going to be scammed. And when they ask if you are who you are, don't say yes as it can be recorded and used for fraudulent purposes.

  As a 4+ year member of the scambaiting community what I'm reading here is absolutely scary & dangerous. Always protect your personal information! It's very easy for these scum to SPOOF numbers (#s seem legit & are often #s of individuals) & have multiple unverifiable numbers. Unless you initiate the call & know 100% with whom you're speaking do not ever divulge any personal info! Ask for a call-back # saying you're busy, at work, etc. & try calling as many here have done. These types use robo-callers (bots) which dial numbers at random which is why many of you know you have no outstanding debt & questioning why a collection agency is calling. Blocking is useless as they have endless #s at their disposal. Beware of foreign accents as well; not saying there aren't legit immigrants working legit jobs. Just be cautious and always ? ? ? !

  I am the victim of repeated calls everyday from this "company". Everytime they call they ask for someone who is not me, *************************, *************************, etc. I block a number and another one calls the next day. I do not know how to stop this madness but this is harrassment.
