    Austin Renovators provided a home remodel to our older two story home, including replacing the front porch. We were not under a huge time constraint and ***** completed the work as agreed. He stayed within our agreed budget and provided quality work. The lower level was mostly gutted and he refinished the kitchen cabinets, new counter tops, flooring and put in new ceilings. He remodeled two bathrooms. We will use his services again when the need arises.

    I wouldn’t recommend Austin Renovators. Steve will gain your trust and make you think he will fix everything for you and take care of your home and then take advantage of you and leave you with shoddy work. From the day he gave me a quote to when work actually began it was over 11 weeks later when he said it would be 3-4 weeks. He was unprofessional and his work was subpar. He chipped my new counter tops and didn’t fix it or turn the edges off. He stopped replacing trim alone the wall because “you can’t see it anyway”. He didn’t bring a shop vac or anything to clean up all the sawdust and messes he made. He just left it for me to do. He altered our verbal contract numerous times and told me several times “I can just do that myself or hire another company to do that.” Or simply “he doesn’t want to do that now.” He left my job every day in the middle of working for personal appts or to go work on other jobs. He sent me many flirtatious and inappropriate texts and exhibited inappropriate behavior on the job site which made me uncomfortable. He charged me for many services he never completed and when asked for a breakdown of what things cost or what specific expenses were he was unable to provide any info. When I expressed I was not happy with the work he did do he said he would come back and fix it. I declined and asked for a partial refund for the work he never completed and because he couldn’t do the work correctly the first time, now that I have expressed my discontent with it, I wasn’t confident he would come back and redo it all correctly or in a timely manner. He then became angry with me and eventually blocked my number and quit responding to me. Everything he did do for me has since broken or needed completely redone. All around headache and terrible experience.
