Read reviews before signing a contract! As many say, the local gym trainers and employees are AMAZING! Unfortunately, billing and contracts all go through their corporate office who do everything they can to take advantage of you. I wish I would have read reviews from the BBB before signing up. Nearly every negative review is the company not honoring the contract and doing everything they can to take advantage of customers. I loved the sessions and trainers but when I attempted to cancel my contract (fully expecting and willing to pay the early termination fee) they never provided an amount for the early termination fee. Without a fee to pay, I couldn't pay the early termination fee so they decided to continue charging the full monthly rate for the remainder of the contract without permission, claiming I never canceled. A year later, I'm still offering to pay the early termination but they are saying the full monthly charges are due. A trainer said corporate will typically ask "at least a few times" to make you want to cancel because they don't want you to give up the introductory rates, so if you go to cancel be prepared to have to confirm multiple times or they will fraudulently keep charging your card. During our email exchanges, they've been extremely unprofessional and attempting to tell me my ONLY course of action is to pay the full amount their asking, making it feel like I have no other legal options available. Scare tactics should not be tolerated, especially for a company that caters to women. They are also now reinstating the membership to attempt to charge my card for the monthly membership and childcare (I don't go to their gym and don't use their childcare) to try to run up additional charges to force me to pay the disputed amount. It's unfortunate that the reputation the trainers have built for the gym is ruined by the shady, unlawful practices of their corporate office.
