Horrible, predatory company. They make a bigger mess than they clean. Also they lie, saying theyre a new company and 120 years old in the same breath. Save yourself a major headache and do not allow them into your home!

We received excellent service from our representative. He was kind and patient. He spent a long time with us to make sure we knew how to use everything.

These are terrible people to work with. It took 4 months to get a response from them about the Kirby shorting out. They led me to believe they were local company, I would never have purchased the vacuum otherwise. I live near Wichita, KS nowhere near Ames, IA. I hate this vacuum but can't afford to get rid of it now. The only reason I left 1 star is because there isn't a zero rating.

Was sold a Kirby, decided to cancel, sent telegrams to cancel two days before cancellation date. Someone from Kirby called said they received my cancellation notice, that they would contact Midwest Distributors. Kirby called me 4 times asking me is I’d heard from Midwest. On the twentieth day of cancellation notice Kirby called to say someone from Midwest would another week later to make arrangements to pick up sweeper. Their cancellation agreement reads if not picked up within 20 days of cancellation and I make sweeper available I can keep or dispose of the sweep and without further obligation I have now had the sweeper over 30 days been in constant contact with Kirby and yet no one has picked up the sweeper. I told them after 20 days the sweeper belongs to me and Michele went irate she accuse me of calling her out of her name, and I was only trying to enter rate what I was reading on the cancellation agreement. They shouldn’t put that in the contract if they’re not going to stand by their agreement she was Michelle was very manipulative and more innovative with the contract says she said you can keep the sweeper but you’re gonna have to pay for it very dishonest. she’s a liar, and very manipulative and slandered me, Not to be trusted, we agreed she would pick this week at April 10. Someone called April 6 and wanted to pick the sweeper up on the seventh I stuck to the 10th as we agreed I’m not making any special arrangements for them after the way they handled the contract I don’t know why the executors put up with that is a black mark on their company stay away from Kirby.

This is the most deceptive sales approach I have ever come across. They came to my home advertising a new business in my neighborhood, assured me that they would not try to sell me anything, just wanted to make their product known. A short while later, a Kirby vacuum was dropped off at my house followed by a salesman. I have no complaints about the salesperson, he was very courteous and pleasant. He stayed for 3 hours, dropping the price until I agreed to buy. Their tactics are ruthless and aggressive, can't understand why Kirby is still using this approach! Carla

Misleading about what they are coming into the home for. Used a laminated green piece of paper and said they were expanding the business to Owatonna. Said they could spot clean the carpet and it would dry in 10 minutes. The guy that vacuumed was very courteous but 2 hours spent vacuuming an area that takes 2 minutes or less. I canceled my purchase two days later and put a tracking on the mailing. They received it, they have not called me, and they do not answer their phone. This is not good business practice. I was leaving to go to the airport, and finally I said, I will buy one, I have to get going.” Do not let them into your home. That is a lot of money and most people do not have it.

This business is absolutely horrible. I tried to return my kirby within 24 hours. This company ghosted me til after the return time. They verbally told me they would send a kirby rep to assist me with product issues. No one has showed, and the Michelle the manger is not answering the after hours number. Also no is answering business phone.

Came under false pretenses of a “local” business (Ames is 3 hours away) offering cleaning services (not selling Kirby vacuums). Only nice thing I have to say is the salesman was handsome and took no for an answer the first time. Scammy business and weird business tactics.

High pressure sales for sure. Kirby salesman are known for that. He talked me into the vacuums for $2400. My cleaning lady hates it. Its too heavy and doesnt pick up the dirt. Its been almost a year and there is barely any dirt in the first bag. I wish I could get my money back.
