    If I could give 0 stars I would. I am heartbroken and deeply disappointed in the care my sister received from Dr. ********* Despite expressing severe pain and clear signs that something was wrong, she was dismissed and not taken seriously. Her symptoms were minimized, and she was made to feel as though she was overreacting. Tragically, as a result of this negligence, she lost her baby.What makes this even more painful is that Dr. ******** is a fellow woman of color. You would hope that shared experiences and an understanding of the disparities women of color face in healthcare would lead to more empathy, more compassion, and more advocacy not less. Instead, my sister was treated with indifference during one of the most vulnerable times in her ******* mother should ever have to go through what my sister did. I pray that this review encourages serious reflection and change so that no other family has to suffer the same unimaginable ******* someone who works in the healthcare field, I understand the importance of truly listening to patients. They know their bodies better than anyone after all, theyve lived in them their whole lives. Thats why I am both heartbroken and outraged by the care my sister received from Dr. *********This could have been avoided.Dr. Mitchells approach was not only a professional failure it was a human one.
