Beware of this company! We paid $300 for an estimate. Communication was great until after the mitigation and reconstruction inspections had been performed. We were told they would advise and help us navigate the insurance side of things, if applicable. They could “start next week” and surely get the job done before the sale of our house was set to close. Lots of empty promises that we stupidly believed. It took days (more than we were told at the onset) to get the estimates and once we finally got them, my husband and I had some questions about it. I called Josh, left him a message, and when I heard nothing back, I emailed him and Ashlynn. I sent those emails Sept 16, 2024 and still have not heard back from them. Not a single word or call back. (The hurricane did not come through our area until Sept 27, so they are unable to use that as a reason for their lack of reply.) In hindsight, I’m thankful we didn’t go with them for the work we needed. We chose ****** ************ instead and they so far (even with the hurricane Helene interruption toward the end of their work), are getting it done with great communication. The lack of communication on the part of Restoration 1 Augusta was so disappointing and unprofessional. We were willing to pay the $******+ they quoted and only had a few simple things we wanted to clarify before getting started. If they did not want to do the job, for crying out loud, just tell me that. I don’t normally leave reviews like this, but I hope it will save others from a similar experience. Don’t waste your time, especially since customers needing this type of service usually need it done as quickly as possible. Based on my experience, Restoration 1 Augusta will lie to you, delay the process, and then basically ghost you when you try to get them to call or email you back. Awful!

Horrible Company. Lie Steal cheat, damage items, won’t respond to calls etc. THEY ARE NOT CLIMATE CONTROLLED, but they advertise as they are. What a joke. All work had to be redone. Left house without light covers. Left registers off ducting. Everything came back was dirty. Promised to have cleaned and lied about that. Scam scam scam.

The work this person is referencing seems to be talking about general contract work/rebuilds/reconstruction which we do not do. We only do water, fire and mold remediation which would be demolition and structural cleaning. We would not have anything to do with light covers or duct registers. I think they maybe have us confused with a general contract company who did work for them and we are not general contractors.

Unprofessional. Never gave us a quote nor our insurance company although we both requested one several times. Very expensive. Cost us 1 1/2 time the cost to demo than to rebuild. Missing half our household goods, neither were they returned or on the loss list. And their response is sorry. Some antiques family heirlooms. Our house was flooded with 3 inches of standing water. We will never use or recommend this company. They don't return calls, if you want to speak to them go to their office. I wish we had this warning.

This customer's house was flooded, we were called out after hours to preform emergency services therefore we would not have an estimate available. In regards to the customer's contents, we spent several days, even weeks trying to go through the customer's contents and even asked them to mark the contents they wanted to keep and to mark the ones they wanted us to dispose of. When the customer did that, we disposed of the contents they asked us to and stored and returned the contents they asked to keep. There were contents that were disposed of that they later stated they wanted to keep and we even retrieved those contents for them. The account ended up being sent to legal for non-payment so all communications with the customers directly were ceased. The husband came to our office twice, once to bring a partial payment from their insurance company and once to ask about contents. I let the customer know we required all contents bills be paid in full before we could return the contents and that he would need to contact his insurance company. The customer became aggressive and used profanity while speaking to our office manager which continued via call and email on later dates which was another reason communication was ceased.

My mother with dementia had all of her furniture stolen from this company. Apparently they do this to other innocent people, its so terribly sad that this happened. Mom still has her bed luckily.

We are unsure of the customer she is referring to. Any contents that were not returned to customers would have been due to them being total lossed or their invoices not being paid by the customer themselves or their insurance company. Per our policy, all contents bills would have to be paid in full before we can return them.
