I bought a cable on the web. I wish I could attach a screenshot of the ad. I really want to like Ham Radio Outlet. They have stores in communities in about a dozen places in the **. We need Ham stores. The store manager really sets the tone. I have dealt with three stores and have been disappointed with two stores, one was outstanding. I am writing about ******* store. I was gaslighted by the store manager. This is happening more and more in society and I do not like it at all. After a heated argument he said he was going to refund the shipping. Subject of the argument. So no screenshot. Cable was a closeout or something. The ad is different than other ads. Very basic info is provided on the product. No pictures just a few sentences usually. This was ADR...216XATC PL Jumper 30ft Used consisting of about 20 words. It was enough for me to know what it was and the price. Then below it said "brand new, never used, Shipping included lower 48 states"I jumped on that. Shipping is usually 10 and the cable is usually 50 with two plugs on the ends. I guess the stores sell things that dont fit on the shelve anymore like that. It was in one of the ***** stores. I checked out and got charged shipping. I called ***** next day and they said sorry call atlanta and tell them they billed you by mistake. I did and I could not hear the managers name (*****) he said it twice and would no longer repeat it. He did tell me that shipping included did not mean the cost of shipping was included. No misunderstanding. He tried several times to reframe it. If we as consumers can not read shipping included from reading shipping included we are in some big trouble. My impression is this guy would say or do anything for a buck. He did start the refund process but not because the website was not programmed for these type items and charged shipping when none was intended by the texas store that created the ad. Citizens were are heading over a cliff of right/wrong
