I had been trying to contact them since September of last year to cancel my membership due to a car accident. I called them again in December and they said that they were sorry and were going to go ahead and cancel my membership. Still charged me December, and January, and got it refunded. Then charged me again in February. Then refunded. Now the training services! I did not receive most of the last round of sessions that I paid for, I called them to get those refunded. They had told me MULTIPLE times alongside my membership that they were refunding it or that it was being processed. Well, they lied! Finally when I called them last on Feb 20th, I was told that they couldnt refund the training services that I never received. On top of that I obviously cant use them because Im no longer a member and I will never become a member due to how awful they have handled this situation. I have never seen or experienced such unprofessionalism before. This was so poorly handled.

I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience take place at this gym without zero resolve, and frankly it seems like no one cares but me. I had signed up for 3 months personal training during March, April, May for $720 per month. I had a VERY CLEAR understanding with my trainer that I could only commit to 3 months. The actual charge on my credit card references 3 months for goodness sake. There was NEVER any confusion that I could only do 3 months and nothing more. What I WAS NOT told during sign-up was that I had to cancel 30 days ahead of my last payment (so in April), even though we were all on the same page about the 3 months time-frame. Well, I was charged 06/15 for a 4th payment and cannot for the life of me get this money returned. How can I be charged for something I clearly did not want or agree to. I have not even used one iota of any June training! This is frankly a deceptive business practice and why I came to BBB. These practices are illegal! Not only was I set up on a reoccurring monthly payment even though I only committed for 3 months, but it was never communicated to me that I need to terminate 30 days before my last month. I have tried to resolve this multiple times. I have spoken with the ** on different occasions, my trainer, the Fitness Director and Corporate. I just get the shoulder shrug with very little affect displayed. How on earth is this the way to run a business?? I am extremely frustratedI feel cheated and robbed, and like no one will listen or even attempt to remedy the situation (no I do want more training). I am about at my wits end and running out of options.

Our family signed up for swim lessons and was strung along by an instructor who cancelled, rescheduled and then quit the club. We are at the ********* location and the manager **** kept up the same run around for 2 months now. We still have not had any swim lessons and they did 2 charges for over $300 each. They have yet to refund the money. Very disappointing. Beware of OneLife Fitness.

    Hello,

I want to apologize that it has taken so long to find a new swim instructor for our ********* location. We have submitted the refund for processing. Please allow 7-10 days to see the refund back to the card.

If there is anything else I can assist with, feel free to reach out.

    Thanks!

I liked the gym but the company engages in dubious business practices. I'd put my membership on hold (have email chain) but they still charged my credit card.

    Hello!

He is correct, we did not handle the freeze on his account correctly and we do apologize. It appears he has now requested to end his membership prior to completing his 12 month agreement and we have gone ahead and sent that through.  ************** will not be billed any more and his access will be good through May 27, 2024.

Please let me know if you need anything else!

Canceling my membership was like trying to move mountains. I knew about the 30 days notice so I contacted them as closely to the next due date as possible so that it would be a seamless transition. Instead, they decided to charge me for 2 months worth of membership.

Underemployed and underpaid staff, uncleanly gym, it's just really disgusting. And they don't even use the money to keep their own gym clean or their own employees paid. Where is my money even going?

Be aware, these guys are greedy! Horrible customer service, and this is one of the dishonest businesses I've ever met. You can cancel almost any service, any time, like internet, phone, utilities, but these guys require "advanced" notice, and two weeks notice is not enough, it should be more than a month in advance, otherwise they will charge you for the additional month, even if you are unable to use their gym.My family stayed with them for 5 years, during covid, we actully supported them when many people didn't and now these guys want to charge me for a month that I am unable to use. As I understand that is a "reward" for the loyalty. FU Onelife Fitness!!
