    Initially, my opinion of Wahoo was not very good. I purchased a Kickr v5 (the 2020 model) and after 2.5 years, the controller board went bad. This is a known issue of quality control in this product. The warranty is 1 year (note, the Garmin competitor to this product offers a 2 year warranty). I contacted Wahoo and admitted to my failure to keep the receipt for 2.5 years. While they noted it was out of warranty, they had enough respect for my situation (after I provided extensive photographs of the unit and the output data failures to my computer) to offer me a refurb pathway, allowing me to obtain a refurb of a newer model at a notably reduced rate. It wasn't cheap, but it was far less than buying even a competitor refurb unit. They walked me through the exchange process and honored all their efforts to restore my faith in their organization. While I can't give them 5 stars owing to the evidence (so far) of marginal quality control of their products, I have to commend them for standing behind their products and company reputation.
