      For 2 days I have been trying to add new service to my rental home under my business name of 5 ************. I have spoke to 4 different representatives as of today and NO ONE can help. They say my EIN # is not correct when in fact it is. After numerous hours on the phone trying to get this resolved it still has not been resolved. I have been given the run around for days and cannot get this done. I need to get service set up ASAP, the weather is going to be extremely HOT in the next few days and need to get my air on so my rental home does not MOLD

      I am rejecting this response because The amount still sits on my "amount due." then GP said I could request to qualify for assistance.  I "make to much money" for assistance.  Funny because when I had money I actually paid additional on my bill for others but that was 5 years ago.  If Georgia Power actually cared they would remove the $268 from my amount due and we could be straight.  I did manage to get off the "Budget Billing" which is a scam.  You have no right to assume that people enroll in programs just because their bank suggested the payment amount.  So much for many of us thinking we were being financially responsible by doing auto billing and auto pay.  Georgia Power is a company you can not trust.  If you go on Reddit you will find more and more customers who have complained.  I am hoping someone will open a class action law suit against all of you because if you were taking money from me, you were taking money from old men and women who are on more of a fixed income than I.  Let us all hope that more people will read the BBB and learn from my mistake of trusting you, a Southern Company, a company that is supposed to care about it's customers.  "We're sorry that you feel that way.  There is nothing you can do to resolve this issue at this time."  I hope someone brings case against you.  I would purchase a billboard if I had the money so everyone would get off of budget billing because it is a scam.  I don't know how you sleep at night but I am one way or another am not done with you.  I teach 500 students a year, and you better believe I am going to teach them about this scam and how GA Power is untrustworthy, just like I teach them about time shares.  To me you are on the same level of time share folks.  There are many places in hot areas that are designated to your CEO's.  Go and have carnal knowledge of yourself.

      Its may and i am already at 945. I kindly ask them to take the extra 300 off my account of over charging me and let me pay what i owe. They say they can't do that. Then the script. I cant change power companies b/c GA Power is the monopoly on my area. We are being robbed. What is $267 to Ga Power? Nothing. To me, a teacher, it's a month of groceries. I am one person in my house, a small house. No one will help me. They don't care and all I can do is complain to this message board. I make too much money for the help from medical bills, or car bills and power bills. I have been with GA power my entire life and they can't help or do they care about their customers! NO clearly. NO. I wish i could change power companies. I would change, today i would go anywhere else. It must be nice for GA power to have record breaking profits. YOU ARE SO NOT WELCOME

      I am rejecting this response because you are scam artists.  I don't want to accept anything from you because you are probably a Bot.  You don't sleep at night and you have no sole.  I still plan on telling people about budget billing and how it was a scam.  We all know it is.  Like I said, "We are sorry you feel that way Georgia Power." Never has my bill for 5 months been in a row $189.  When the actual usage was $95 on the bill.  Georgia power has record breaking profits, gee I wonder how they got that?

      I was told I would get a refund. I contact my bank, and notified them as I needed my refund. The company later sent the funds via check, and it was minus the connection fee. Now are requesting ****** when only 340 was returned via check. I made the payment of ****** which should bring the bill to a zero balance. No service is, or was provided. And Id like my bill to reflect a zero balance

      I am rejecting this response because Georgia Power did not explain the discrepancy in avg kWh consumption values between the account overview page and the My Power Usage report. Also, my caller ID logs for Monday and Tuesday indicate no unfamiliar phone numbers from within Georgia; however, there is one from a Chicago area code. I dialed it, and it gives a fast busy signal. (I even Googled it.) If a Georgia Power representative attempted to reach me by phone yesterday from ******* (and I doubt it), no message was left on the answering.

      I want Georgia Power either to respond in writing with an explanation of the discrepancy or to actually call me with an explanation. If the answering picks up, the caller should identify himself or herself and leave a legitimate call-back number.

Please be advised when using the My Power Usage tool to make yourself aware of the following disclaimer: Until your account actually goes through billing, dollar amounts, and billing dates are estimated for electric service for the current billing period. The estimated dollar amounts assume that energy usage is constant in order to make a projection and do not reflect temperature forecasts, power outages or disconnects for non - pay. Your TOTAL bill amount may vary due to special billing programs, additional services and / or previous amounts due. The estimated dollar amounts does NOT reflect discounts, rates, contracts, and other non - electric service businesses. We hope this information helps.

After noting that the current average daily kWh consumption on the account overview page now corresponds with the average at the end of the Apr 1-May 1 billing cycle, I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Thank you.

I would like to Thank the Supervisor for reaching out and making sure our power was reconnected once my payment was submitted. I appreciate you working w/ us to allow us to get our balance paid and up to date. We are truly grateful.

They are adamant that we will have to pay the full amount of $1254 now plus $50 (which we wont have until our next paycheck in a week) before they will turn our power back on. We have gone from being 6 months past due to only a month past due and now all of a sudden they refuse to work w/ us when we are so close to getting completely up to date. Regardless- $50 will be added to our acct. We are not asking for a free handout. We can pay the rest of the $1200 in a week but they refuse to do this. We are sitting in the dark abt to lose all of our cold food, not being able to cook or shower for the next however long b/c GA Power has decided to no longer work w/ us. We are struggling due to a ricochet effect (and its 1 thing after another) beyond our control but you can clearly see that we are trying..There is a waiting list for assistance which we wouldnt even have to consider if they would continue to help us. U cant imagine how devastating it is to be in this situation.
