I called to get my account information so I could invoke my right not to use CFT. They continuously tried stone ******* me. According to the agreement sign, The account is suppose to be under my complete control. This company does not honor that. They try to force individuals to file requests via email or to go through the debit company to have any access to the account. They refuse to give you the account number and routing number. I was invoking my right under the agreement to cease using CFT as the account instrument and they refused to give me the account information to be able to transfer the funds in my account to another banking instrument that I felt was a better option with less fee's. kept telling me I could not have the account information. I feel that this CFTPay is an untrust worthy organization.

We apologize for your bad experience. After listening to the call recording, we completely understand your frustration. This was not a typical experience. The initial *** misunderstood the ask, which started a *********** of poor responses, and they communicated the wrong ask to the supervisor, who also did not handle the call properly. This has been escalated to the manager of the customer service group, the employees have been addressed specifically, and changes are being made to try to ensure no other customer has this same ************** did have control of your account, though it was a limited purpose savings account, only to be used for the support of your debt settlement program. There were no checks, no debit card, and no ATM access, and you were given an online portal in which you could see your transactions. Generally, our customers deposit and payment instructions are provided to us by their debt settlement company, acting on behalf of the customer, so that the customer doesnt have to communicate twice (with the debt settlement company and with us). But, the customer does control the account, can communicate their instructions directly to us, and can withdraw, partially or fully, at any time.We do caution our customers about closing accounts, as the debt settlement companies often wont work with someone who doesnt have a dedicated account with a payment processor, and closing the account can impact any settlement payments that are scheduled. But, the customer owns the accounts and can close it whenever they want, and we simply send their funds back to their bank account by ***. That shouldve been the information you received when you called. Ultimately, a supervisor was able to understand the request and process your withdrawal, but it was clearly a painful call up until that point.Again, we apologize and am thankful you brought this to our attention. I assume the withdrawal is the end result you desired, but do let us know if something else is needed.

I never even started my account with the debt consolidation company, I cancelled immediately. I confirmed with debt consolidation company that it was deleted and I called and asked CFTPAY if my bank account information along with my social security number can be deleted and no one answered my question and didnt tell me yes or no. I never made payments or even started the program, I want my information removed or deleted.

Hi, *******. Normally, accounts stay on our system for a defined period of time, and then are purged automatically. Yours is a request we've not had before, so we are looking into how we may be able to manually delete the information from our system. I will respond again once I have good information. In the meantime, please know that we do not share, sell, or otherwise utilize your information in any way, and the account was closed on our system, so no transactions can take place. Thank you.

Not very happy with CFT/************** as every month I pay them $527.00, yet there's only been ONE creditor paid off in over 6 months and now they're paying ONE dollar per month to *********** and $100/ per month to credit one (just the last 2 months)... where the heck is my money going?.. when I asked THEM, they told me to ask CFT, but from what I've seen on here, they're pushing the blame RIGHT back at them!... I'm a 100% disabled veteran and if this is how they treat veterans, I can certainly pass this on to other veterans through the. VA website and try to have them blacklisted...

CFT and Beyond are unrelated companies. Beyond provides debt settlement services and CFT provides the dedicated savings account and payment services that support your settlement program. CFT is not involved in debt negotiation, so we cannot speak to the progress or success of negotiation efforts by Beyond. Settlements achieved should've been presented to you for authorization, prior to being accepted. We simply process your payments into your account and the payments to creditors and others from the account. If you're unhappy with the settlement services or didn't understand the settlements presented, you'd need to discuss with Beyond. If you have questions about your CFT account, you can log in to your customer portal and view all your account activity. You can also call our customer service line to request activity information or assistance in getting into your online portal, or if you have specific requests you want to add to this BBB thread, we can have that information pulled and emailed to you.

How do i terminate this agreement? The fees were not disclosed transparently. I was misled... I can't afford this...

CFTPay is the provider of the account you established to support your participation in a debt settlement program. We are not the debt settlement provider. The provider you enrolled with is ******************** You would need to contact them about termination of their services.

Awful. Tell you theyre here to help you get out of a financial mess and theyll negotiate your total debt down by 20-30%. But dont tell you theyll keep 18% of the 30% they negotiate for themselves. Charge a $700+ setup fee. $59 per mo handling fee. $9/mo processing fee. Do not connect with creditors timely. Credit score takes a nose dive for YEARS (5-7) As an example - CFT negotiated a credit card down from $15.8 to $11.7 (30% settlement). Yay, right? Nope. Out if the almost $4500 they negotiated off of my balance, they kept 18% ($2800+) for themselves so that total reduction only came out to $1800+.THEY MAKE YOU THINK YOURE ONLY PAYING A SETUP AND $59 FEE FOR THEIR HELP WHEN IN REALITY THEY ARE PROFITING FROM YOUR FINANCIAL MESS BY TAKING ALMOST ALL OF THE NEGOTIATED BALANCE. DO NOT USE THEM. YOU CAN NEGOTIATE DIRECTLY WITH THE **** AND SAVE WAAAY MORE THAH WHAT CFT OR ELEVATE FINANCE - OR WHATEVER NAME THEY HIDE BEHIND - IS NEGOTIATING ON YOUR BEHALF. SCHEME/SCAM. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!

CFT is not a debt settlement company and is not involved in the negotiation and settlement of debts. We provide dedicated savings accounts and payment services to consumers who engage with one of several dozen debt settlement companies. Elevate Finance is the debt settlement company you engaged with. If you have issues with their services, you would need to contact Elevate, as we have no insight into the negotiations they perform.

This company does the dirty bidding of **************. They stole $42 from me and I cannot get it back. Do not deal with either company.

      CFTPAY

There was no dirty bidding or money stolen. You established a deposit account with us and agreed to the terms and fees. From what we can see in our records, you closed the account yesterday, and today we sent the remaining balance to your bank account on file. Also today, you questioned the fees charged and we agreed to refund $21.50 of the $42 charged, as acceptable resolution of your concerns. That refund has been completed and will also be sent to your bank account. Please let us know if this does not resolve the issue.

I signed up with GRT Financial for help with getting out of debt. GRT uses Crossroads Financial Technologies to handle the money accounts. I have had money deducted from my bank account to be used for the payments to my creditors but no payments to my creditors have been made.

We would only make payments to creditors once your debt settlement provider successfully negotiates settlements and you accept.  Then the instructions for payment are sent to us for processing. Since the date of this review, it appears settlements have been achieved and payments are being made to your creditors.  We trust this is no longer a concern.

I have never heard of this company until I tried to see where my money was going when I signed up for **************

      CFTPAY

Debt settlement companies can negotiate your debts but cannot hold your funds.  Those account services must be provided by a third party.  When you enrolled with **************, you also executed an Account Agreement with us, for the provision of the deposit account.
