I attended the funeral of a friends dear husband who was lost unexpectedly. I saw first hand the trauma that was brought on his bereaving loved ones- the husband literally looked blue and not at all himself. The funeral director said it was because of some conditions-but did not forewarn her at all. Imagine coming to see your spouse or your fifteen year old sons father at rest and they are literally blue. The service itself was not facilitated in the slightest so it was awkward. This was a completely undignified moment that will forever be the familys impression of saying goodbye. I cannot recommend that anyone use this service.

Terrible company! That family should have been treated better. Working in the funeral industry should not be taken lightly. That family was not treated with dignity or respect.

A funeral home is responsible for the last moments a family is physically together. Shame on you for making that a horrific one for a grieving wife and mother during a time that she needed your support!

Gave1 star but if I could give 0 I would choose that. Horrible funeral home. The owner discriminates. Our family tragically lost my nephew at a young age (21) with undiagnosed liver cancer (stage 4). The paternal side of the family attempted to attend this public event and was refused entry. Since this is a private company they can refuse entry to people for no apparent reason. Our family didnt want to start drama- we wanted to see our loved one and say our goodbyes. Why is it that this is tolerated?! This company needs to go out business because *** never ever been treated this way. All families have disagreements but most people can put these aside and allow each other to grieve long enough to attend a funeral. This company excused this behavior and didnt give the same human right they gave to the maternal side of the family. My dad who is the paternal grandfather was refused entry. He supported, babysat, never forgot a birthday- was always a rock to this family and this is the treatment he received. You are not welcome at this funeral. Please help me spread the word that this company is biased and doesnt deserve a ***** of the communities support in the future. Terrible company and I will never ever support this behavior- they need to be put out of business for this conduct.

I'm not one that generally likes talking about my personal life. However, I've been backed in a corner, and need to share my story so others don't fall victim to the predatory practices of large businesses. The short version of this story is: Never, under any circumstance, utilize the death services of Cremation Society of Minnesota (CSM). For you and your family's sake.*******************************************************************************************************

They got the job done in the end but it cost hundreds more than I thought it would be per our phone conversations. I was quoted $995 for transportation and cremation services. Then, I received the price list along with other documentation by email, but none of the listed services matched that amount. So, I called back to confirm the cost and yes, $995 plus some taxes and fees, is what I was going to be charged. So, I filled out the paperwork to release my loved ones body to them. Well, then I got the actual bill and it was around $1900. I very clearly asked what the price was both times I called. I feel like I was tricked/lied to. I got the actual bill after I had already signed over permission for them to take the body so I was already stuck with them at that point. Also, I chose them knowing it would be a 2-3 hour drive because I thought I would be saving some money. Had I known the actual cost, I could have chosen a different company closer to my home and with a newborn and toddler, that would have made my life much easier. This is a comment I found online after I actually looked up reviews for them: Its important to understand that Legacy/Heritage is simply a coordinator of services, and doesnt operate a funeral home, nor are they licensed to. Furthermore, the company has had several complaints filed from customers claiming that the remains of their loved ones were not picked up within a timely manner, were misinformed with regards to pricing, as well as where they were operating out of. I was definitely misinformed about pricing. I would go through an actual funeral home. Its terrible people would take advantage of you during one of the hardest times in your life.

Krause Funeral Home handled the arrangements for my father's funeral. We had pre-planned the service with Krause, and during our meeting with the funeral director, Tonia, she informed us that there was money remaining from the pre-planning. Tonia asked if we wanted a refund issued to the family or if Krause could use the money to pay for additional expenses. We decided to use the remaining funds to pay for the flowers, doves, cemetery costs, and the pastor's services for the eulogy. We thought everything had been taken care of until we received a call from Krause five days after the funeral asking about the final payment. When I spoke with the assistant manager, Tonia, she explained that Krause had offered to pay other vendors to streamline the process and prevent the family from paying multiple people. I explained that this was not how the information was given to us. We were under the impression that we had a refund and could use that money to cover the rest of the services. To our surprise, we still owed an additional $900, and there was no prior indication of this remaining balance. Krause should have informed us of this balance before the services. I felt taken advantage of during a difficult time. We followed Krause's instructions but were still left with a balance we weren't informed about. Krause had two weeks to inform us of this balance and did not do so, which was very disappointing.

I am the Director of nursing at a hospice in *********. This funeral home was selected by one of my patients family members. Our patient died this past morning at midnight. I called this cremation business that is supposedly located in ******* and was told that the pick up time would be two hours. I got a call at four in the morning from the skilled nursing facility that the patient still had not been picked up. I called back and, and they said that it would be another couple of hours and there was a hold up due to paperwork. 7 oclock in the morning I receive another phone call this time from the family member that the patient still has not been picked up from the mortuary. I called back and they say oh it will be another couple of hours. I have worked in the hospice industry for 11 years. I have never seen this kind of treatment of somebody or their family at the end of life. Come to find out they use an agency that is third-party called Legacy cremation. I have worked in the hospice industry for 11 years. I have never seen this kind of treatment of somebody or their family at the end of life. Come to find out they use a agency that is third-party called Legacy cremation and they contract everything out, including patient pick up and actual cremation. The company that they partner with has had many lawsuits due to fraudulent activity such as miscommunicating and deceiving patients and families regarding pricing. Stating that they are an actual local company when they do not have local staff to care for the patients when they die. And taking extraordinarily long to pick up a patient. Due to the rules and regulations for ******** a patient can only be at a skilled nursing facility after they have passed away for four hours. I have tried to call the local company that is located in ******* I have been unable to speak to anybody who actually works at that location. I asked if I could go up there and speak to an employee in person and they said no

I did not send my husband to Wyman's, his adult kids did, without my permission. They then held my husband there, against my wishes for 6 months, before I could get an autopsy or cremation. Their inhouse attorney is in ** and not licensed to practice in ** or registered with the ** Bar. I was not even treated as the legal spouse! There is not enough room for me to tell you everything about those unimaginable 6 months! If I could give them less, then 1 star I would!Worst nightmare EVER!

Clearly unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing. My father passed years ago in another buried in another state but continue to get notices from Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society addressed to my Father soliciting his own cremation. I am not impressed with their marketing,
